Damage as a result of an Air Duct Cleaning, from SeaBreeze Air
I have had an extremely terrible experience, as a result of an air duct cleaning in my home. A ceiling duct was serviced in my children's bathroom, it was located directly above a large bathroom mirror. Following the service, the large 44"X36" glass mirror came crashing down. The large shards of glass also damaged our countertop and flooring. Thankfully, myself and young children were not in the restroom at the time of the fall, as the damage could have been catastrophic for us. This was most likely a simple error in judgement from the service tech, as he had to have put pressure on the top of the mirror, while servicing the vent, but it was careless. I contacted the phone number on my Service contract, and I spoke to Jen, to make a formal complaint. She was very apologetic and asked me what I needed. I asked for two very minor simple things, that a conversation takes place with the technician to avoid future problems, and that I receive credit for the mirror that now needs replacing. Jen committed to working on this and calling me back. One week later. I had to follow up, as she never called back. I was extremely dissapointed, as I thought Seabreeze to be a reputable company that prided themselves in customer service! To add to my dissapointment, during my follow-up conversation with Jen, she said that her local manager would not allow any credit for the damage that they caused. I am ASTONISHED that this company would not even cover the minimal cost of a replacement mirror, especially when the damage could have resulted in death or serious injury of my kids or myself. Thank God we were not in the room at the time, but Seabreeze needs to be held accountable, so I will absolutely be seeking legal action, and I will continue to discourage anyone else from ever using this company again!
