Lies and deceit

Our contractor ordered granite kitchen counters and two bathroom vanity tops from Stone solutions. The installation was scheduled for April 28th 2014. On April 27 th we called to confirm delivery, spoke with Christina. She said they would not be able to install because the forklift dropped the granite and it broke. She said they would have a new piece by Friday afternoon and it would be installed on Saturday. On Saturday we were told the piece didn't make it till late Friday and it would be cut on Saturday and installed Monday. On Monday Christina said the fork lift was still broken and they could not get the piece off the table. She also said the pRt for the forklift would be there in the afternoon and we would get our granite on Tuesday. On Tuesday we were told the forklift was still broken so they could not bring the granite. As you can imagine we were getting really upset by now and couldn't see how they could even do any granite with out the forklift. I called and talked to a guy who claimed to be the owner. He told me they didn't even have the granite and Christina must have had me confused with another customer. I can not believe this to be true because every time I talked to her she new exactly who I was. Obviously Christina makes stories to get you to go away. I told the owner if she will lie to me she will lie to him. The supposed owner told me the granite would be there on Friday and he would have it cut and installed the same day no matter how late they would have to work. Guess what? No granite on Friday,no granite on Saturday. On Monday my contractor called and was told the granite would be delivered by 12:30 in the afternoon. He waited till 3 for them to show up and then left. At approximately 3:50 three guy show up with the granite for the kitchen. They placed the piece with the sink in it and set one short top. In placing the sink piece they punched two holes in the wall and put a dent in the door of our brand new microwave. ThenThey said they had to leave because they didn't get paid for overtime and had not been paid in two weeks. I asked where the two bathroom vanity tops were. They said they couldn't fit them on this load. I asked when would they finish. They said they would be back at 9:00 in the morning. I asked if the bathroom tops were ready. The guy that spoke the best English said he would call the owner and find out. He proceeded to make a cell phone call. After a short conversation with whoever was on the other end of the call he hung up. He then told me he had just spoken to the owner and was told the vanity tops were ready and would be delivered and installed the next morning. On Tuesday morning my contractor called from my house and was told the counter tops would be delivered on Thursday. Upon hearing this he became very upset as he had already paid for the granite 100% and was wasting his time waiting for them so he could finish the job. My contractor and I drove to APH Stone Solutions to confront here people and to see if the bathroom vanities were indeed cut. When we got there we talked to a guy named Eric who said he had no idea about the vanities as he is only a salesman. Christina would not even talked to us and hid. We asked to speak to the owner and were told he was not there. I became very upset Eric decided he didn't want deal with it so he was going to call the police. I said call them, we need the witnesses. After a short time two nice officers show up and ask what the problem was. My contractor and I explained the situation. The officer said this is a civil matter why are we here? To which I replied I think you just became their customer service dept. in no less the two minutes after the police came in walks the owner out of the back room. I believe he was there all along. My contractor asked if we could take the bathroom vanities with us and he would install them as he has installed granite before. After several minutes of excuses about how he could not let anyone in the back room one of the officers asked him to show us the vanity tops. Now the owner says the tops have not been cut yet. The police say they want to leave it doesn't look like anybody is going to do anything illegal and we should pursue the matter in court.
The owner promises us that without fail the kitchen and bathrooms will be completed on Thursday the 8th of May. Almost two weeks after they were promised. It is now after 5:00 on Thursday and we have not seen hide nor hair of granite solutions.
Now it's my turn to call the police and report the fraud. I feel sorry for my contractor who is out the money
