AAA Bad Experience

We had an egregious experience with AAA travel. We asked them to make a reservation for 2 nights in a hotel in Frankfort, Germany beginning October 23, 2017. They made it for Sept 23. We were fortunate to get any room at all because everything was filled for a big convention. We ended up having to pay $600 for a room on top of the $480 paid out for the unused room in Sept.
They put the person who made the mistake in charge of getting us a financial settlement; we are getting $88 back. We did not get the voucher for the reservation until October 2 (after the date of what they thought was our reservation date).
They insist that they sent us an email earlier with the voucher but we have no record of it. We in fact had to insist that they send it to us in late Sept since the trip time was approaching.
We are going to avoid AAA in the future.
