Not Getting Paid
They have not paid me either, so I have filed a civil complaint against them. The office in the downtown Calgary area is very useless and they still owe me for my work in January. I tried to resolve this situation with the branch manager Doug, but he is also useless. I don't know what else to say about Adecco, except "DON'T WORK FOR THEM, THEY WILL NOT PAY YOU EITHER"...They owe me for an assignment I did in early January 2012.
ADECCO SUCKS, THEY DON'T VALUE THEIR EMPLOYEES AND THEY ARE CHEATERS.
THEY CHEATED ME OUT OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT FIXED THE MISTAKE AND PAID ME MY FAIR SALARY.

Dishonest
Not only do these people owe me money, but they have the audacity to call me to see if I'm interested in some job they can't fill.
I am so desperate for work I say yes, then these people don't get back to me again!!!
Also.....I ask about the other jobs I applied for that I was actually interested in and I get no no reply.
These people are SLIME and I hope one day they know what it is to be out of work themselves.
Call it karma if you will.
Thank You

adecco
I have worked for many different temp companies in the past, and of them all, Adecco is by far the most out of touch and the most dishonest. I did get paid regularly (less than the other temps from other agencies doing the same job) however they paid me for a legal holiday, then demanded repayment, since "it's not a holiday with us". My last contract ended, so I'm unemployed right now. I'll pay them back. when I get another job.
THEY ARE USELESS and not to be trusted. Do whatever you have to NOT to sign on with Adecco! There are lots of other reputable agencies out there...FIND THEM!

Working with Adecco Is an eye opener
I never really care about which agency I have to deal with since most are fairly similar to each other, but boy was I wrong. Adecco is the most unorganized agency you can work for. The day I got hired, they rushed the hiring process and wanted me to read and sign all document within 24 hours and email the verification to them. The next day I got a call from a different representative saying they are missing the paper work and couldn't process my hiring. There is no communication whatsoever within their own hiring department so they couldn't figure out if the person who I sent passed off the information before leaving work.
Another incident was that I talked to the scheduling team who work closely with Adecco in order to hire the right people for the job. Scheduling specifically told Adecco that they can only hire people with open availability since they need the flexibility to assign people. My friend who interviewed with them showed them all paper work with eye witness stating that she could only work morning shift and only on certain days since she have school. Adecco agreed that they can work around her schedule without even talking with scheduling. This created huge problem for my friend who tried countless time to contact Adecco in order to get the situation resolved and was ignored until she threatened to sue them for breach of implied contract. After which they responded almost immediately.
I have also had a run in with Adecco representative; I approach them asking to help resolve an issue i have at work after talking to the management they weren't able to help so I have to reach out with Adecco rep. he told me he would love to help me solve my problem if I just shoot him an email explaining the situation. So that's what I did. Two weeks later no reply and when I sent a follow up message I still got no reply. I confronted him a couple days later and he brushed me off stating that it was a problem between me and the management and that Adecco have no say in the matter. Overall a horrible company to work for; they treated you like trash and all they care about is the sign on bonus when they hire you. After that they don't even care what you do.
Just to show how slow and unorganized Adecco is: A coworker of mine sent Adecco a two week notice because he found new job and was planning to leave. They never acknowledge receiving the letter nor did they reached out to him. Two weeks later my coworker left the job yet he was still post to work for the rest of the week. It wasn't until three weeks later after he have left the job and are working at his new job that they finally reached out to him in order to fire him for missing three weeks worth of work.
All in all Adecco is the worst agency to work for and they go against everything they claim to have stands for. They are a joke to the industry.

Adecco: Big waste of time
This place is a joke.
I applied for a job on a Tuesday and they call me next day, the recruiter told me that I had to provide written evidence from my current employer showing that I work for them and my last paystub is not evidence of employment. The person was not going to be in the office on Thursday and Friday and to call her on Monday when I have the letter from my current employer. I got the document that Adecco was asking for and call them back on Monday but nobody would answer the phone, I call them back on Tuesday and left them a message, I call them again on Wednesday but still nobody answered the phone. Finally on Thursday I got the fax number of their NYC office and proceeded to fax them the letter, two hours later the Adecco recruiter called me back and with an attitude treated me as a liar, telling me that I never called them nor left them messages, that I should have called them before sending any fax and the job I applied for was no longer available.
If you want to waste your time, like to be treated rude and let your current employer that you are looking for another job then this is the place for you.

They lied to me and to thier client
Adecco outright lied to me - then outright lied to their client who was hiring. I attended a 1.5 hour interview for a contract position. The client wanted to hire me. Adecco called to set up my account. I requested Adecco address a couple of concerns I had with the contract with the client on my behalf as they were acting as intermediary. They advised they would consult the client and get back to me. By 9 am the next business day they called to tell me the client rescinded the offer. When I asked why they said the client did not divulge why and they did not know why. This was a lie. I found out later they called the client to tell them that I had turned down the offer for contract employment and did not want to take the job. This was also a lie - I would have taken the contract. I never said I was not interested I merely asked 2 questions to be clarified. The client did not rescind the offer. They wanted me on board and were surprised when told by Adecco that I had turned it down. I've been a self employed incorporated individual for 20 years. This is why I find my own clients. I don't like being lied to and having someone on the outside negatively affecting my career and reputation. Adecco had not found me this contract. They had never met or conversed with me prior to the initial offer and call to set up an account. I found it on my own through networking. The only reason they were involved was in an administrative capacity to file my hours and issue payment as the client had all contractors paid through Adecco. As I own my own company they didn't even have to do payroll or tax remittance. Deplorable. If I could give them less than 1 star based on my experience with them I would.
