Rebate Scam

I sent the required documentation in the required timeframe and fulfilled all the requirements for a rebate for Air Optix one year supply.

The rebate was denied saying I didn't provide the required documentation. I called and they did have all the required documention. They tried to make it as if I made a mistake and said it's too late now the timeframe for the rebate has expired. The fact is they had all the necessary documentation in the timeframe required and they likely deny all rebates with some form letter hoping the consumer won't bother to follow up.

Alcon should be held accountable for all the rebates they have not fulfilled per their rebate promise and conditions.

Everyone who has been scammed by this company and denied their rightful rebate should file a complaint with the BBB.

If there is a lawyer who wants to pursue a class action lawsuit, I'm a willing participant.

REBATE SCAM

TOTAL SCAM. Alcon refused to issue my contact lens rebate for $120.00. They claimed they could not "read the date" on the purchase invoice I submitted online. They also said they emailed me a notice requesting a clearer copy, but I never received the email. They only give customers 30 days to provide additional information. TOTAL SCAM. OUT $120.00. REPRESENTATIVE NAME IS JO LYN.

Don't complete Rebates

So this is my second attempt to collect a rebate that my doctor said this company offers. I attempted last year to collect a $100.00 rebate on a years worth of contact lenses that eases the pain of their cost. After submitting everything by mail and waiting and waiting and waiting nothing....not even a letter declining my rebate. So this year when I went to get a new supply of their pricey contacts the receptionist hands me a new form about the rebate this time a $200.00 rebate. I decide to scan everything into their website.This time I receive a notice that they have gotten my submission and that, "Pending verification you are eligible for the following Alcon Promotion"....$200.00 along with a further statement that says, " Your rebate has been submitted. Watch for an email from Alcon detailing your options to receive payment. This was the end of October I am told it can take about 8 weeks to get the rebate. It's now January. I have NEVER gotten an email telling me anything so I logged into their website and the message says , "Rebate declined product did not meet qualifications." This will be the last time I purchase a years worth of their contact lenses. Before submitting everything I double checked that this product was the eligible product and it was. I'm not wasting any more time or money with this company and I m also letting my eye doctor know that these people don't stand by their promises or advertisements.

After reading all the complaints about Alcon I realize that I am not alone. The same thing happened to me after sending in the rebate form, copy of my eye dr. appt. and proof of purchase of the lens I also was denied. I just happened to check after a month and saw that I had been denied. I was not sent any email saying that I had sent the wrong "proof" of the boxes--I sent the ends of the box to them as I had done before. Did not realize that the "upc" code was printed on the back. Their customer service is horrible! Had I been notified I could have sent the right proof in but they do this on purpose so they don;t have to pay.

I would be glad to join in a class action suit against them also.

I won't purchase their lens in the future and will let my eye doctor and friends know.
