ALLABOUT PRIZESAZOR SCAM

The same here! I had £29 taken from my account 4 times before I noticed. I am devastated because I am single mother and I’m already in debt. This is disgraceful! I fell into trap with promise of £0.50 razor. When I noticed cancelled my card and tried to contact company over the phone to cancel my membership, by no one is answering so I sent them email. I also tried to retrieve my password from their website so I can unsubscribe online but message is coming saying that my email is not in their data base. This is only email address I ever used... I also called my bank’s fraud team as suggested in my branch but they told me that I have to try to contact company first and then if that is not working I should call bank’s dispute team. By then I will probably lose £150. I am absolutely gutted that I fell for this scam when I am struggling with day to day expenses even thou I work full time. If somebody believes that there is any chance of suing this company and winning please let me know.I am up for it...I had enough being scammed by different companies in this country and losing my hard earned money!

I am gutted that i have been conned into this scam. I thought 50p was great at the time to get the gilette razor and asked
my friend if she could use her bank card to get this razor, as i did not have my card on me at the time. My friend then
complained to me that £29 had been taken out of her account by this company, and she had to report it as fraud. Her
bank gave her a new pin number and new card sent out to her, but her bank was unable to refund her the money back.
She was so distressed because she is on a low income. I have tried to cancel this membership that i did not sign up
for, as i was only interested in the 50p razor, and thought nothing of a membership after, until my friend complained to
me. I have sent a email to this company, and they sent an automated response back stating that i need to use my
ID number to cancel, but where to i do this. I have a telephone number obtained, but have read many complained
from other people that fell into this trap, stating ringing was useless. I just want to get the £29 back from them, so
my friend would not have to struggle further financially, because of my stupidness falling for this scam.

this company allaboutprizes has got to be stopped

Allaboutprizes are using the gillette brand to fool people, and that they have been conned into a £29 monthly
subscription fee, which was never asked for, as i never signed up to this. I am so upset and stupid to think i
fell for this scam. At first i never had the 50p, so i asked a friend if she could use her bank card, in order that
i get my 50p razor. She then repeatedly complained to me that £29 had been taken out of bank account, and
she had then to report it as fraud to her bank. Her bank then sent her a new card and pin number, but refused
to pay the money back to her because they said the membership was not cancelled. I have then sent so many
emails to this company to complain, and have finally today cancelled my membership, but they also refused to
give my friend the refund. I tlhen thought it would be a good idea today to get in touch with the gillette company
direcly by email and let them know that another company are using their products brand name to fool thousands
of people out of money, thinking they were buying directly from their company, but i have not heard back as yet.
There must be something we could all do to stop this company, but as fellow sufferers have wrote, they are within
their rights ,as they rely on their terms and conditions, and we neglect to read this at that time when we thought
we were getting a 50p razor. This company would be very rich by now, and i pray one day they get what they
truely deserve, sent to prison for a very long time.

allaboutprizes

This company has taken £29 twice now out of my account without my knowledge of which has left me hardly any money left for myself, as being a pensioner and a widow I cannot afford these scams. They need to be taken to court for all these actions they have taken without consent, it is an absolute disgrace. I only wish I could do more to stop these actions.

As all others I have been scammed by these evil people. My bank has said that because it was a fixed payment and not a dirrect debit or a standing order they cannot do anything, unless I can prove I didnt want their service as I have been sent my free gift the Razor. To combat this I have switched my bank accounts to the Halifax who are offering £5 a month on their free current account atm if you pay in your Salary every month and £50 if you let them transfere you DD's (minium 3) over to this new account too. This situation has worked out in my favour in the long run.

As for Allaboutprizes I have sent them a cancellation letter and sent it via recorded delivery incase there is any comeback in future and phoned their cancellation phone number (not that it worked) a few times from my house phone so I have a record that I've tried to reach them.

This has show me that Im an idiot and that I need to be more careful in future, but that although it has been a headache, it has worked out positively in the end with my new bank account. And with my old account shut down now I'd like to see them try and take another £29 from an account that doesnt exist.

I do not know what o do in order to get refunded of 58 EUROS acoording to to the French MONETARY AND FINANCIAL CODE
the bank has to refund me the amaounts paid before cancellation of the credit card that I have made on 30/11/12.
What are you advising me to do besides contesting the bank refusal on the basis of a commercial claim.

ALLABOUTPRIZES

Same as all the others I have been conned by this company. I too thought it was an offer from Gillette and was suprised when my account was debited £29, exactly 14 days after the initial 50p had debited. I immediately logged on to their website and unsubscibed that way and also stopped my card. They obviously use your details you enter for the delivery and the card details you give for the 50p p&p to set up an account in your name, and use the password you give for the log on details. I only realised this when I disputed the transaction with my bank and they sent me a photocopy of the details. The format it shows with the details on is nothing like the format shown when I completed my delivery details for the razor. The bank have refused to refund my £29 as it is all there in the T&C which non of us tend to read. Needless to say I wont be taken in again by an offer that seems to good to be true!!! I am ashamed to say that I actually work for the bank and should have known better!

all about prizes scam

last may i went on a freebie site and applied for a free razor, i just had to pay the 50p postage. unaware to me, when i payed the 50p postage, i entered a membership. all about prizes have been taking £29.00 out of my account every month from may til now. stupidly i don't go through my bank statements- will be from now on tho!
i contacted my bank and the company its self, who assured me no more payments would be taken, but couldn't give me any money back and was very blunt. i was not happy is an understatement!
so in total they have had £290.00 of MY money.
i never even received the razor either, as apparently i didn't leave an address, they were happy to take my £29.00 per month though!.
its a scam and wrong, i have scrimped n saved to keep my family a float over the last year, con artists.

learnt some lessons tho, always to check my bank statements n stay away from freebie sites! if its too good to be true it really is!

just to add to it my daughter bought something off amazon last week and i had £49.00 membership charge taken from my account, though i contacted amazon my self whom were helpful and gave me a full refund straight away.
