This is the worst company I have ever done business with

I just had the best chat ever: I bought light fixtures from ATG stores.com and I received a notification of a delay in the shipment, contacted the chat for customer support and this is what I experienced. Some of it is actually funny, if I wouldn't still wait for the light fixtures. I thought I share this here: ...this is how it starts...(Lars is me, Peggy is the person who is supposed to provide customer assistance, read for yourselves...

Peggy: Thank you for contacting ATG Stores, my name is Peggy; how may I assist you today?
Lars: Hi Peggy, I just received an e-mail that my order is being delayed with the shipment, the order number is #1705146
Lars: I confirmed the original shipment date before I ordered, because the light fixtures are needed on Monday next week
Lars: How can you help me to accelerate this shipment
Peggy: I'm showing an anticiapted ship date of ths Monday
Peggy: Unfortunately, we are unable to expedite the manufacturer's lead times
Lars: Yes, but I was assured I have it on Monday...not that it is being shiped on Monday
Peggy: We are not able to guarantee shipping at any time
Lars: The lead time was explained to me with the order is being shipped today
Lars: Why not, one of your colleagues told me it is being shipped on Friday, that's why I ordered!!!
Peggy: even still, we cannot guarantee the ship times
Peggy: because there are sometimes unforseen circumstances
Lars: Are you reading my previous statements?
Lars: Someone on the phone confirmed that it is being shipped today, you cannot just tell me that it is not
Lars: On your website the item was showen to be in stock...what manufaturer's lead time, if the item is in stock?
Lars: ???
Lars: Peggy???
Lars: Are you still there?
Peggy: we don't have inventory - everything we do is drop shipped from the manufacturer
Lars: That is not what is shown on the website...it says "in stock"
Peggy: if you read our policy, it states that the lead times are not guaranteed
Peggy: it's spelled out in the end of the order, and you can't proceed with the order unless you check the box that you acknowledge it
Lars: Here is the bottom line: I am building a house, I relied on the information I received from one of your colleagues on the phone, I need the light fixtures for the settlement day, how can you help????
Lars: That is when I called
Lars: ...and someone on the phone told me that it will be shipped out on Friday!!!1
Peggy: who was the rep that you spoke with
Peggy: because it says that you placed the order yourself
Peggy: if our reps are giving out erroneous information, we'd like to know who that is
Lars: What do I know, it was the customer contact number on the web page...
Lars: I called (888) 500-9541.
Peggy: yes, that is our customer service number
Lars: That does not help me with my problem, does it?
Peggy: but unfortunately, I have no way of expediting the manufacturer
Peggy: what do you want me to do for you?
Lars: Ok, Peggy, this is the beauty of the chat, I am going to copy this conversation and include it in my blogs to alert people...to not to make the same mistake than I ordering from the website...
Peggy: At ATG Stores we do our best to provide you with accurate shipping times for our products. The times are estimates only.
Peggy: The "Ships In" time is provided to ATG Stores by each manufacturer and is an estimate of the average number of business days it takes the manufacturer to process your order and ship the item from their warehouse. These shipping times are not a guarantee. If you have a time sensitive project we recommend that you call a sales specialist at (888) 500-9541 or Live Chat and arrange expedited shipping.
Peggy: Products marked "In Stock" are items that we have in stock or the manufacturer has provided us a real time inventory feed for. These items normally ship from the warehouse within two business days, however these products are subject to prior sale and availability and lead times are not guaranteed.
Peggy: Occasionally, items shown to be in stock or available get pre sold, in this case, you will be sent a email notification that your item is on backorder, you have the option to continue to wait for that item, cancel your order for a full refund, or select a different item to order. Custom made products can have varying ship times and we recommend ordering custom products well in advance to avoid project delays.
Peggy: ATG Stores is not liable for costs associated with shipment delays.
Lars: ??? Look, it is rather simple: I read all this, I called the number to have someone check, if I will get the order in time, someone explained that the manufaturer is in Canada and will ship this on Friday, T H A T I S W H Y I O R D E R E D !!!
Peggy: Again, what would you like me to do for you?
Lars: They even told me that I don't have to do the ship over night stuff, because it will be shipped on Friday and it comes from Canada...
Peggy: What would you like me to do for you?
Lars: H E L P me to get this light fixture in time!!!
Lars: What do you think I want from you????
Peggy: Unfortunately, we are unable to do that
Lars: Is there a manager or something?
Peggy: she's standing right over my shoulder
Lars: How does that help me now - are you serious?
Lars: I would like someone to call me back...
Peggy: you asked for a manager
Lars: You can't really mean this - you tell me in a chat when I am asking for a manager, that this person stands right behind you?
Peggy: I called her attention to this chat
Lars: I want to speak to that person...
Lars: speak, not chat
Peggy: okay, she will be calling you in just a few minutes
Lars: what is my number?
Peggy: it is in your order
Lars: ok
Peggy: is there a different number for you that she should call?
Peggy: her name is Sarah
Peggy: she is helping another customer at the moment, but will call you when she's free
Lars: Peggy, thanks, that is the best chat ever...I believe that this will amuse everyone I show it to.

This is the worst company I have ever done business with

BEWARE! Horrible company, horrible customer service. PayPal should suspend doing business with them. Still waiting after 2 months for my refund...which by the way was significantly less than the money spent because of the "restocking fees" they cleverly hide when you order.
