Return Policy
I don't know about this particular store, but many retailers will provide a gift receipt if you ask for one.

Unless someone doesn't have the forethought to ask for one because they just grabbed one thing "just because" and not for any particular occasion.

Return Policy
I agree - they are absolutely horrible! I had a similar experience while returning a sweater with no receipt. I got a whopping $3.17 credit for it. That was bad enough but the cashier had the nerve to actually say to me that people should know to hang on to their receipts and the policy is to discourage stealing. Maybe I'm wrong but isn't that why they take your driver's license information - to make sure you are not a habitual returner? Why are they punishing everyone that shops there? I emailed customer service on their site to complain and of course have not heard a word back. I will not be shopping there ever again. It was hit or miss anyway - mostly horrible clothes, occasionally you can get a cute sweater.

didn't give me my merchandise
I am a very good customer of Beals in LaFayette, Ga. Been trading with Beal's for many years i n Florida first before they got to my area. Went in today to exchange two things - a pair of men's pants and shirt. I got several other items. When I checked out the clerk, Cloe, checked out the exchange first. I got another mens shirt and a blouse and skirt and paid cash for the difference. I then got 65.00 worth of other clothes. when I got home the first bag which contained the shirt and blouse and skirt only had the shirt in it. I immediately called the store and Cloe said it was not there. I went to the store with my receipts. A girl named Miranda said that it was not listed on the ticket and never was put through the cash register. I then bought the two items again for 32.00 dollars. When I got home I took out the receipt and the two were originally paid for so I bought them twice. I called the store and they would not have the manager call me. I told them that my fiance is an attorney. Miranda then called me and said she had made a mistake. I said I would come back for my refund and she said I would have to wait on a loss management investigation.I am a good customer of Beals, however, I will let everyone know in La Fayette how I have bee cheated and my fiance will be following up if you don't correct this immediately.

cluttered..clothes laying all over the floor..dressing room dirty..
I will probably never go in the store in Riverton Wyoming again...Twice this week I went to do Christmas shopping. The first time there were closes piled up on the the floor. made it had to move around and I thought ok...two days later I went back and it was worse. There were 4 people working and about 3 customers in the store. The girls behind the counter stood around chatting as these clothes lay piled up knee deep on the floor.... Horrible...I have been in management ...retail ... for 13 years and prior worked retail 50 % of my life. The manager was one of the girls standing around sipping her coke and chatting instead of keeping her store nice for customers to move around in. I also wanted to stay a pile of clothes I was purchasing at the front counter and she said "oh here just put the on the floor"....I did not...I am going to buy clothes and she wants to throw them on the floor where who knows how many people have walked on....really?????. Some one need to do better with this store...it is horrible and what a bad statement to think a corporation would let this go on in ANY of their store. Times are tough so I don't think you can deny added sales would not help...this store could be a better picture for you that should care.....or maybe you don't......
I am sure I am not the only one who finds this store in horrible shape for a retail store and definitely the staff is very very very poor at what ever it is they are suppose to be doing... yours truly, Mary Lehman P.O.Box 1 Riverton,Wyoming 82501

awful store
Before I get started on the complaint you need to know that in Corsicana Texas we have not shopping and Beall's use to be the only place I would shop but not anymore. The store is .in such awful shape could not find anything if you wanted to and you sure do not have anyone to help you there is no customer service at all. There has be a large amount of things walking out of the store there is no one to wait on you or that cares. There are shoes all over the floor from the night before and many hangers on the racks with nothing on them. I have visited the store 2 times this month and it was the same and worse than the time before. My Mom & Sister worked for Beall's back in the 70's and believe me David Lee manager at the time had that store in tip top shape everyday. I owned a business for 17 years and if you did not do your job your were fired. Who ever the manager is they need to be fired. I posted my experience on facebook and you would not believe the negative comments that I received. This store needs to be completed revamped and the employees fired before the next school year starts. Just remember we have not shopping in this town to account to anything when you read this

Bad customer service
Let start with I've been a valid customer for Bealls in Beeville, TX for many, many years. I pay my credit card on time and pay more of the amount it requests. January 22, 2017, my sister, niece and I came shopping to Bealls to buy a new wardrobe for my niece new job, which required a dress code of dress office clothes. We arrived at mid-after noon and browsed and pick out several slacks, tops and cardigans for my niece to try in the fitting room. After an hour of fitting and fitting and selecting the keepers and standing and walking back and forth to different sizes and styles. I had my hands full with the keepers, went over to the customer counter to drop them off. I saw one of the Bealls customer assistance by the jewelry area by the counter and asked her if she could hold these clothes, till we finished fitting more clothes for purchase. She responded ok, put them on the counter. Her reaction was "ok whatever".
After another hour of fitting and finding more keepers, we finally finished and went over to check out. Than I asked the same lady where the other clothes, I had put down on the counter were, she says to me what clothes, the ones I asked you if I could lay down while we looked for more clothes to purchase. She respond by asking the girl at the register where the clothes were at. The girl answered, I put them back on the rack, I didn't know they were for purchase. I turned to the lady that told me to lay the garments at the counter and told her, (very upset) "what" after and hour of fitting and fitting and finding the right size and suitable office wear, "YOU PUT THEM BACK". I TOLD THE LADY LOOK FOR THEM YOU SHOULD KNOW WHERE THERE AT. I was angry and upset that they stocked them back on the racks after hours of looking and fitting and walking back and forth to the fitting rooms. The lady that assisted me the first is either the manager or assistant manager because she was giving orders to the other girls that work their. It would've taken her a few seconds just to stop what she was doing and just remove the garments from the counter and lay them behind the other counter, since she was right close to the counter from where she was at organizing the jewelry.
All she said well you going to have to find them yourself. That was rude of her to tell me that. I don't have to do anything put report them and leave the store and go else where to shop for clothes. I have closed my accounts to stores that have bad customer service or stopped shopping those areas. There was only one girl that was nice enough to help assist with the problem. The manager was rude and ignored my assistance to find the garments again. Beeville, Bealls need to train their employees to be more concerned about mistakes they make to the customer and how they respond. Hope this will be taken care of.

Rude, Unprofessional Manager
I am writing to voice my complaint concerning the manager - Charmayne Persall of the Beeville, Texas Bealls store. I shop at Bealls numerous times throughout the year & my shopping experiences are always enjoyable due to the staff........which by the way.......are very overworked & have to multitask due to being understaffed. There will be a line almost always waiting to be checked out when I am there. The ladies do their best to take care of the customers in a timely manner & are always pleasant throughout the process. I do not & have never had a problem with the staff especially the ladies in the Clinique Department & Estée Lauder Department. They are always so welcoming, attentive, & very informed about their products but are not pushy with their approach. They go out of their way to take care of the customers & do it in such a way you feel like a valued customer. Bealls has always been about the customer service but for several years it seems like that mind set has changed. Customer service is now......get the customer checked out & move on to the next customer in line because the staff always seems to be overloaded with getting customers checked out in a timely manner to try & keep everyone satisfied. Not only do they have to check out customers they also have to help customers with products, items, answering questions, finding clothing, etc. & still do a quality job. Now for my main complaint! I have never seen nor met Charmayne Persall until the other day & let me tell you.....it was not a pleasant encounter! She should take some lessons from her great staff! First of all she is not approachable & when confronted with a customer she is not friendly & very unprofessional! Her appearance is less than appealing & again.....her staff look more put together than she does. Working in the position she holds I would feel she would look, act, & dress the part! Her appearance is not my main concern..... it is the way she treats her staff & her approach to customers! I had a staff member ask her a question about a sale posted that the staff member said was not valid. She asked the manager & then returned to me saying she - the manager would not honor the sale. I picked up my items to put back & the manager approached me. She did not introduce herself or identify herself as the manager but wanted to know what was my problem. I told her she had told the staff member to not honor the sale. She let me know in a very blunt & very rude, unprofessional manner that she had approved the sale & the staff member was wrong. I smile at her - thanked her & told her she might want to remove the sale signs if the sale was over to eliminate this happening again & she proceeded to lecture me on life & how there were more important things in life than getting good deals at Bealls & just be glad she decided to honor the sale for me. I thanked her & went back with my items to the same staff member. The young lady apologized to me but the manager never did & never even smiled or thanked me! Very rude & very unprofessional manager to say the least! She had told the staff member to not honor the sale because I heard her but when she approached me she said she had told the young lady to honor the sale! Very unprofessional! It saddens me because Bealls has many, many dedicated, loyal customers. So many are dissatisfied with the manager, the understaff, and the aditude of how the manager treats her staff! She is not discreet when reppremending her staff & seems to try to intemadate them. The staff seems to be nervous around her & it just doesn’t seem to be a pleasant working invironment. I have written a lot & hope some of what I’ve stated will be addressed & things will change for the better! The Bealls in Beeville is a great place to shop but do hope the customer service & value of the customer do improve. I know the store is understaffed but it is frustrating for customers to have to wait in line for a lengthy time due to understaffing. Some of us shop quickly during our lunch break or after a long day at work & don’t want to stand in line 10 or more deep to get checked out. I have seen numerous customers putting items down & walking out due to the long lines. The lines are worse on Tuesdays & on gift sales times. A lot of senior citizens shop in your establishment & need more eccesstence but due to being understaffed I this doesn’t happen. I love shopping at our Beeville store & hope it will improve & return to valuing customers once more & valuing the staff as well. Without a great staff (which you have) & a great leader (which at this time you do not have) with great people skills & leadership quality the store - the staff - as well as the customers suffer! Thank you for your time & please think about what concerns I have voiced!
