they sold me used computer as instead of new
I bought a Toshiba Satellite laptop from Best Buy. They seemed like reputable company and many my friends bought their laptops there. When I recieved my new computer and turned it on, I found this computer is being used. There were broken disk drive and the previous owner’s files. By the accident I wasn’t at the US at this moment, but I tried to contact them by e-mail sending a report about what I have found. I thought It was a mistake and they will exchange this used computer for a new one, which I purchase. But I get no response on my e-mails, when I tried to call them, they accused me of the damage, but said that they will fix it because it was under warranty.
When I came back to US I took the computer to the Best Buy and again asked for a new one, which I’ve ordered. I showed them as a proof that the files on my computer was uploaded before the date I purchase it, but they still refuse me to give a new one, they just took the computer for the repair as they promised.
When I get my computer back, there still were files of previous owner. Later I found reports about similar experience with Best Buy. I’m still shocked, that such a big company as Best Buy trying to scam people that way!

This happened to my fiancé in 2001; we purchased a PC and a laptop; we were not aware of it until we had mega troubles and took it to a local tech for fixing. The two of them ran me right about $3200!
