Ian Maclachlan and Katrina Loftin-Winkel are scammers
They'll trick you into paying 1000 dollars for the training and this turns out to be a complete joke! If they scam people like me who are just looking for job, I think they'll scam businesses as well. Avoid listing your business with them!

BTI Business Brokers
On the first day I met with Broker Don Baum of BTI Business Brokers I was made to sign an agreement for one year to sell my business. The broker did not have any documentation to confirm the value of the business. Only a sales priced was expressed and put on the contract. Several to many days later I provided the necessary documentation to assess the value of the business and subsequently was told that it was not a viable business to attract a buyer. I agreed with the assessment asked to put it on hold but ultimately asked to void the agreement as I no longer had the intention to sell it or any portion of the business. Don Baum was not in agreement to let me out of the contract and I spoke to the broker of record, Ian Maciachian . I have not heard back from him. Another reason to void the contract has to do with health issues and I do not want my family members to have issues in the event I am incapacitated. BTI only spent a little bit of time looking at my documents that which any broker would do prior to listing a business or property. They did not expend effort in marketing and did not incur expenses.
I only just found out that there are complaints against BTI and it's broker. Ian Maclachian. I want out of this agreement and need help doing this as I am being held hostage at this point. No where in the contract allows for an inspection/assessment period so a seller can decide it it is worth selling the business. BTI claims to give free assessments...This is not true. Actually get stuck with them for one year.
I am hopeful someone can help me .
