Sneaky little rules!

I just saw a story ...go to care credit the real deal...the new York attorney generals office has opened a full investigation into care credit, GE bank and the dentists and doctors who may be getting kickbacks from care credit. You all might want to check with Mario Cuomos office about a class action suit?

Good luck and thanks for posting here, you probably saved me from a similar fate!

Need info on class action suit

Huge Scam! Is that the worst you can say about this company? You'll love this scenario. I borrowed $2, 000 from Care Credit for surgery on my dog. Ever month, during the 6 month grace period, I made regular payments electronically. I would set a payment up on or about the 15th with my bank, and the ach/wire would be posted to my Care Credit account on the 15th every month for 5 months. The total was due Dec 22, 2011 so I set it up to pay, IN FULL, electronically, in Dec 22, 2011. CareCredit refused the electronic payment and told my bank they would only accept a check for this payment. So, needless to say, the payment went by USPS and was received 5 days late on Dec 27, 2011 and I now owe $400 in interest. This is fraud. As a consumer, I should expect that my payments will be handled exactly like all the others. I made an error in judgment when I didn't double check to see if that last payment could be made in the same manner as all the others. However, I will be calling the Attorney General's Office for the State of Maryland and filing a complaint.

Sneaky little rules!

To all above customer complains, Thank you... Thank you... so much !!! for the heads up on the kind of practices of this pseudo-credit-company, I was about to start my credit application for the amount of $2, 300.00 for some dental care I need. After reviewing some complains filled with the BBB as well as some other websites including this one is no way I will make such mistake. I still do not believe how this company or companies (CARECREDIT AKA GE and some other names under which it operates) still remain in business... I mean that you can expect this type of SCAMS going on 3rd world countries but here in America. What are you people are waiting for to start a class action and taking this fraudulent company to be out of business ASAP ?, certainly there is enough evidence out here on the internet to sustain your cases. And for those government agencies: DO YOUR FREAKING WORK !!! - Is not why we pay taxes for ?????

fees

My payment was due on the 13th of each month. I attempted to make a payment on 1-13-2012 on line. It would not allow the payment to reflect on this date.. I had to choose the payment to be on the 14th of Jan. At first I couldn't understand why I was not able to select the 13th as a posting day. Then after looking at my statement, the statement states that payments must be in by 5pm Eastern time. I'm in Central time. So therefore they took my payment as a late payment fee. This is wrong, and this is why hardworking individuals get into the situations they do. This is a way for the company to basically state; "Well you were late with your payment." I feel a payment should reflect the day and time the payment has been made regardless of time zone the issuing credit company is in. If anyone knows of a class action suit against this company please post.

Sneaky little rules!

I am floored at everything I am reading! I was just now looking into this company hoping I could get a card to pay for my cats surgery - She has an Auto-Immune disorder and needs all her teeth removed and I was told about this company through my veterinarian, however I strongly believe that they are not aware of these people. My cats surgery is going to cost between 1, 200 to 2, 000 dollars. I was in hopes that carecredit would help me with this but as I see, they drown people further into debt. I won't be getting a carecredit credit card!!! Thanks everyone for putting the warning out there for us to see!! :)

Sneaky little rules!

Run as fast as you can from this company. They will screw you without a kiss, candy or flowers. My payment was due on the 12th of each month. The check was mailed on the 3rd and I was told it was not received until the 13th, thus a late charge. Imagine my surprise when the automated system said my check cleared on the 5th. They will DO ANYTHING to get more money from honest, hard working people. They are the rudest customer service people I have ever dealt with. The government should investigate them and shut them down. This is a horrible way to do business, I regret the day I ever got mixed up with this so called company. I hate it, and I hate having to deal with anyone there. Do not call there and expect to be in a good mood when you get off the phone. They kept telling me they were not the postal service and could not help me with the question of when my check arrived. So I said, "I know you are not the postal service @$$ hole, and hung up. But I did get to speak to a supervisor and demanded the late charge be removed. The people are horrible. RUN, RUN FAST AND FAR AWAY. YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEM.

GECC/CareCredit

On November 03, 2012, I checked my credit scores and found that my scores had gove down almost 100 points.
Upon checking my credit reports I had a delinquent account from GECC/Care Credit. I have never signed or
made an application to GECC. I sent a dispute and validation request to GECC and have never received a
response from them. I have never received any phone calls, statements or any form of communications from
GECC. They have verified this account with all three credit bureaus.
I am now awaiting a response from GECC, which I doubt if I will receive. I will be filing suit in both state and
federal courts in the near future. There customer service is a total joke.

I had a Care Credit account and they gave me a credit limit of $800. My credit was not that good so I was surprised that they gave me the credit. I used it for my son's dental work and I paid every month on time. When the total amount was paid they checked my credit which was better now than it was then and they closed my account saying my credit score was not good enough. The fact that they waited until all of my payments were made and made on time and closed my account tells me this company has problems. I spoke to a manager at the Synchrony customer service and asked to speak to someone at Care Credit and he gave me a number and said call during the day. I found out that it was just another number to the customer service line. I have yet to speak to someone at the bank. This company is a scam.

I had toothaches and needed them to be remove quickly. I signed up for care credit knowing that I might get rejected. Turn out I got accepted $8,000. I was shocked. I used that money to paid for my dental expenses. My expenses covered the plan of getting my tooth removed and putting on crowns. The plans was never finish til I checked on the account that I was charged $1,500!!!! Wth!!!! I paid every month on time. They said I have no interest for 24 months. I called them and made a complaints. They said once the promotion is over they charged me the interests of $1,500. I didn't get an email or call or text saying I was charge. They told me they will be sending me a package home of everything they said through the agreement. Even when the account was closed I still have to paid for what I owed. I ended up going bankruptcy cause I can't afford to pay $235 every month. I have kids to feed and I don't make that much as a part-time waitress. I also go to school during the day. Is it too late to get a refund from carecredit or the dental?

Caused my credit score to go down for paying my bill on time.

I had had a Carecredit card for a couple of years and used it for dental work and later for vet bills. I made all of my payments on time but did accrue a little interest. Anyway, after paying it off I didn't use it for about a year. Then, I needed it for more dental work. I paid off the bill within the six month "no interest" grace period. As soon as it was paid off I got an alert that my credit score had gone down. Turns out, they closed my account - for paying my bill on time. They sent me a letter saying that I was a bad credit risk but the only ding on my credit report is from them! Now I have a blemish on my report for paying my bill in a timely fashion. WTF?
