Scam
I spent (actually wasted) thee summer of my 17the birtheday working for Carico. I answered an ad in thee paper for one of theose "can earn up to" companies. I was given a 3 day seminar, made to pay of a "bonding fee" and told to push Carico garbage to my family and friends. None of my family and friends bought it and most told me theat thee same quality merchandise is available retail for a lot less money.
We had thee same scams such as thee vacation drawing, thee presentation, and thee "training" demonstration. This was in Chicago. The year was 1986. The only thing theat changed as far as I can tell is theat they offer a wider variety of useless or mediocre merchandise.
I met one of my fellow Carico enthusiasts a few years later working nights in the post office. Like me, he was never able to sell any of the product and left the company. Actually, left is the wrong word, more like walked away. You see, you aren't really an employee of an MLM company if you are a representative. That is, they have no investment in you and you have none of thee usual guarantees like benefits or a salary. They might pay taxes on your income, however since most of these are set up as independent distributors they probably just 1099 you if you make any commission.
Unfortunately theere are many people out theere who will be suckered by MLMs. My Carico experience taught me a lot. By 17 I was able to spot the same tactics a mile away theat caused many others to lose a small fortune in either time or money. My advice to anyone reading this is to not only avoid this company (and ones like it) but to spread the word and immediately call out any of these hucksters.
MLM enthusiasts are easy to spot. They are glassy eyed, have prepared answers to everytheing, use lots of logical fallacies and will not ever realize theey are part of a ponzi scheme. Even when theey leave an MLM company they go to another one that they think is better.

Carico Products
I have several medical problems and without Carico, I'd be completely unable to function.
1.) Mattress - the mattress is the ONLY one that I can sleep on. It both grounds and eliminates EMI interferences, but most importantly it supports my spine in a way that I can actually get comfortable and not be waking up every 20 minutes. I don't know exactly why it works so well, but I do know that other mattresses cause me to have back aches and constantly wake with my arm "asleep" or pains in my legs from my sciatic nerve. I do have some spinal issues that cause these, but Carico allows me to be able to sleep at night. The Carico also keeps me cooler than a Temperpedic, and it has a longer warranty can costs less (lower price)
2.) I and my son have Eczema. I have the whole house water filter and it works great. However, I never knew how well it worked as my son's Eczema is really bad, and we knew that when we traveled he has to use a lot of cream which we've eliminated at home. However, we had a pipe break and had to remove the filter temporarily. Within 2 days, my Eczema was so bad my skin was bleeding. My son's was worse, and he refusted to get into the shower, or drink the water. Fortunately, my plumber was able to re-attach the filter and within minutes we had clean water without all the harmful chemicals such as chlorine, ammonia, and heavy metals that cause our problems. (I won't even begin to talk about the taste of the water, or how harmful it is to my wife's hair when not attached...)
3.) We also have Carico Cookware, and have for YEARS (1980s). I do want to expel a couple of myths on here. a.) When you call someone and they don't get back to you, you can ask for a different dealer, not sure why handles aren't available, as I've never had a problem ordering them. b.) handles are not part of the lifetime warranty as far as I know (please ask a qualified individual as maybe I have this wrong), but they are not expensive, and I've replaced 2 of mine over the years due to dropping or burning them, or simply because they spent too much time in the oven and new handles make the cookware look new. c.) The handles do become loose, and the bolt has to be tightened from time to time. I keep a Phillips screwdriver in the kitchen and tighten them about 3 times a year and that seems to do the trick. d.) If the weld breaks, that's covered under the warranty, and I have had one pan replaced and received no problems from customer service on this.
4.) My other son who doesn't have Eczema has Asthma, and he has NO asthma attacks when the Nutri-tech Deluxe air purifier is in his room. We take it when we travel. Yes, it's bulky and weighs about 17 pounds, but we'd rather put up with the encumbrance, than having to go to an emergency room in some town we don't know a lot about. We find we can get about 17 months out of the air filter when we keep the area clean, but if the dog is around, we have to do it about every 13 months.
Price - Carico products are expensive, and I made most of my purchases when it hurt financially, however, over time, I forget about how much I've spent, and think about how much I've saved, not only in $$, but in TIME (cooking is so much faster, we've eliminated trips to the ER with asthma attacks, trips to the dermatologist with Eczema appointments, and even hopefully spinal surgeries). Not every family is like ours with our problems and not everyone will receive the same benefits, but I believe that if you are considering an investment in Carico, it will pay off multi-fold many times over and you'll live a better daily life for it. I would say that I would try it again, but I have as you can see by the number of products we have. We didn't purchase all of these at the same time (Cookware in 1989 and 1999, Water Filter in 2005, Air Filter in 2009, and Mattresse(s), in 2013 and 2017. We are 50+
