Dishonest Business Practises
Citibank NRI relationship Manager Radhika Sethi is not qualified to be an AVP relationship Manager. She is never available for NRI customers. She is always hiding behind voice mails. Citi Bank's NRI staff is well qualified to be harassment staff. They cause more problems as opposed to creating a customer relationship. I have gone thru a so called "KYC" process through their colleagues in Bombay in November, I get a harassing calling from their staff on December 28, asking me the same redundant questions. I have NRI accounts with other Indian Banks, none of them put me through this nth degree and asked me questions to unzip my pants

Dishonest Business Practises
Citibank NRI service sucks!
They told me there are two ways to repatriate money (from rupees to dollars through NRE). A fax to their NY branch or send a letter by courier. I sent two taxes in a month for same requests, they have no idea where the fax is. The fax number is confirmed. Everytime I call customer care a new idiot picks the phone and apologizes. Since fax has sensitive account information., I requested them to be serious about it. Ciyibank said theywill have someone call me (for what? I need my money). Anyways, no one called me for 4 days. I call them back to check. They told me they called me 3 times!!! This is huge lie! I bet them to get my caller history and also if I missed the call, why no voice mails?
After 1.5 months, I'm still calling them as I need my money. I really wonder how this bank is surviving. Such an unprofessional bank with no regards Oe service

Extremely Poor Customer Service
I have been trying to get my FCNR broken and get the money back to US. I must have made 10 calls so far. They cannot access the account. They don't know what to say to a customer. They have no idea about what the right procedures are. No training. They lie and assume all callers are naive or stupid. I have asked for supervisors each time buy they don't seem to exist! The other most heard comments is that the concerned department will call me within 24 hours. Nope. No one calls. I am so frustrated its been 2 months waiting for this stupidity going back and forth. Well, we now know why third world countries like ours fails to develop despite tremendous education. It's the attitude.

Customer Service
Very silly telephone operators. They are very polite but have no knowledge of the business. They all need serious training. I only hear that the concerned department will call me back. They never do.

User ID's linked for no reason
These guys are INCOMPETENT! CSR's have absolutely no idea on their business. You call one and then the other, you will get 2 distinctly separate answers.
One of my online user id's linked independently to NRO was deleted and linked to NRE account with "no" authorization from my end. They lost track of my NRE account until I gave them the actual account number.
They keep opening some NSR's to ask questions from their back end admins with no end to their resolution.
I am closing my account with them and moving to SBI...yes, you read it right...they have upped their game since last few years.

NRO/NRE/ DEPOSIT AC
since last few weeks / months I am trying to make some transfer of amount varying from 10K to 50K various times from NRO account and the online service not allowing saying withdrawable amount exceeds while I have more than 100K balance in account. Again I tried to reach them over phone but all in vain. when you punch the account number it ask for debit card details and when you punch debit card numbers it ask for expiry date and then account number and then it says its an invalied number and disconnect the line. it looks its a system error at thier end. I tried this since morning to 3PM then I tried to reach them on contact me, where it takes you to ASK me and there also no option for any email ID or fax number to rach them then I tried to go online chat, here the guy vikrant from citi office asking me to do all these what I was trying to do since morning.
The whole day is finished with no gain at all.
Really I am not interested to continue my account in this way instead wish to close all my account with citibank.

Stealing Money From Clients
Absolutely the WORST bank in the entire world, they will steal your money and avoid you no matter how many calls you make. My account is inactive due to going from minor to major and despite filling out numerous forms, I cannot access my account. To date I have made 27 phone calls from the US and every time I speak to someone new, have to explain the story all over again and they have no answers. They try to tell me someone will call back with details and the last 5 times no one has, I keep calling but this is horrible. Shame on Citibank NRI.

Ranjeeta is not fit to be manager, she is the worst. Absolutely the WORST bank in the entire world, they will steal your money and avoid you no matter how many calls you make. My account is inactive due to going from minor to major and despite filling out numerous forms, I cannot access my account. UnProfessional Customer Service
Really very sick and tried of totally unacceptable customer service.
First of all no one picks up the so called "Customer service" 866-703-2462. By mistake if someone picks up then I'm told my account rep will call me back and I never hear back.
Would appreciate if I can get some manager or Supervisor's name who can help opening a simple NRI/NRO account.
The previous account rep before i submitted my papers was very responsive and used to provide total insight into the account opening process
