I was same boat like you guys. Citi Mortgage sold my loan to Pennymac after they rejected my loan modification for couple times. After I finished the trial period with CitiMortgage, they still rejected to give me a permanent loan modification. I got charged late fee during trial period and during repaymentt plan. Citi collected a lot of late fee over these unsuccessful loan modification like us. After I finished my repayment plan with Citi, then they sold me to Pennymac. Now I am with Pennymac and I am out of luck since I could not qualify for the big national mortgage settlement with five big banks(Citi is one of them).
I just found out that we should make all these complaint to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (this firm takes care all complaints from mortgage lenders). They will investigate all the lenders and hope that justice will always win. Good luck to you all!

We are in the same boat and find it deplorable that the same banksters that created this predatory lending practices in the 1st place while they were at Countrywide can now profit from their fraud as PennyMac. They disclaim all association with Countrywide, but they are all the same executives. Some of them are from B of A, also. Talk about racketeering!
