Early cancellation Fee Charger

I had long distance to Cuba and I cancel that account because i was not using it any longer.I did not sign any contract with comwave but after i did cancel the account they send me a caharger of $ 45.20 Early Cancellation Fee .After several phone calls that I made to comwave,no one knows where that charger cames from.I was told they will open a investigation and will call me on 24 hours that never happens,yesterday I call one more time and I was told that they send me some coupons by email and I never use but they told me on the phone it was a little contract for one year.First, not body told me nothing about that .I did not sign any contract for those funny coupons, but I never use,maybe was sent to my by a value customer from 2008.the true is they want to charge me $45.20 for something that I did not sing,dint use and I did not ask for those cuppons.

unethical dealings

I would be able to absolutely just 'copy and paste' the previous review here on this web site.
I also had a very bad experience with Comwave and my advice to everyone is avoid them completely. They employ people that are willing to lie and play with words just to get some of your money to their own bank account. They really advertise a free 6 months free trial, as stated in previous review, the first 3 you are able to cancel service without questions, they say. Guess what? They charged me over $ 70 and there is nothing I can do about it.
Mine phone connection was not that bad, bigger problem was that their system was not compatible with my alarm system so I would have to buy out of my alarm contract and get another company. That would though cost me dearly. I was also not able to get phone signal to the other rooms in my house, maybe their signal is somehow weaker than of my previous provider's and wiring in my house did not comply with it. Anyhow, after 24 hours I canceled and got back to my old company.
My 24 hours with them cost me two times shipment charges of modem to me and then back and another 60 bucks in 'fees'. When I argued with their representative and two supervisors that everything should be free for three months. Did not I, after all, specifically asked at least five time about about any extra charges before I sign up and repeatedly I was assured that there are none. Now these people in different department are saying: 'Yes you asked about EXTRA CHARGES but these are FEES. All conversations are on their records but really it is for nothing good to me.
Can you believe it? What a jerks? Stay away from them completely, you never know what kind of trick they are going to pull on you.

Comwave Fraudulent Charges

I had their long distance service for about a year, they have raised the per minute charges for the countries i generally call, when I call to cancel my account they have charged my extra $50 plus tax early cancellation fee, which was never disclosed at the time of sign up and cancellation, I called and got no response from 3 different asociates and rude managers. Will recommend every one to keep away from them.

Long Distance

I have COMWAVE as my long distance provider called PIC ( Primary Interexchange Carrier ). My phone line is with Bell. Some of my phone calls are charged on Bell bill, most of them on Comwave. I do not have a Long Distance Discount Plan with Bell because they are not my L D Provider, so their charges to Kenya for example are 95 cents a min. I called the same number twice in November, once it was charged by Bell and next time by Comwave. They are blaming one another and asking me to shuttle between them to resolve the problem. I am making a complaint to CRTC . Best to complain to authorities and also share experinces on forum like this. I have been waiting to speak to a Supervisor at Comwave for 118 minutes now ! They are going to waste more money dealing with me than by giving me a credit - both sides. Look at this proof of calls to UK:

failure delivery of unit, 3 persons using the same number of homephone given to me.

I did apply to COMAVE for my homephone because of their low rate ads. My first attempt was not good so I even told them that I wanna cancel it. Few days after, I received a call from one of their customer service who did her best to convinced me, lots of blah,blahs... in short I was convinced with all the paayments. She told me that in 10 days, I will receive the unit. I waited, as what she said... by maiL. More than 10 days now I received nothing from them, not totice from the post office that I have a package, nothing in my mailbox. With my patience, i am still giving them few days but when I checked my email, I received all the voicemail messages thru comwave, People calling my number (the home phone number) looking for somebody that was not me. I was shocked becaused how come more than two persons owned the number which is supposed to be my personal number.I did not even received yet the unit, not even activated and now, there are already people using it. I tried to call these numbers who called my home phone number, lucky that one of them answered me because mostly voice messages of people who are even using different language that I don't even understand. The person who answered me back told me that she called my number because she's looking for somebody she knows and she gave that number to her as her contact number.. I saved all these voicemail messages so that I have all the proofs if in case there is a SCAM . I am a good person who is not taking advantage to others, hopefully Comwave can be trusted too.

COMWAVE

This COMWAVE company is charging me extra minutes I did not use everytime I call CUBA...Ex I call 12 Min and they charge 15 minutes, I call 24 minutes and they charge me 30 min. Besides the rate they advertise 89 cent the minute , but they charge you 1.19 minute...I had to call twice to complain about.... I will CANCEL right now... and RETURN to my ROGERS...or TRY another ONE...but this company is giving me areally HARD TIME , just beginning... THEY say they can not avoid the EXTRA TIME on my long distance calls to CUBA....it is not their fault, but my carrier in CUBA.. in 5 years I never had that problem with ROGER and they bill me expensive rate 1.20 fro the exact time i used....
THis is my BAD Experience with THEM...

Comwave Warning

Comwave business practices Shady??? Illegal??? Bait&Switch??? They are Questionable to say the least!!!

I would recommend any person just look at how many complaints on the internet they have. If you read the complaints they all have some very common points. Once they have your credit card number they will charge for unauthorized items , try and cancel your service they just keep charging charging charging..... Besides the complaints about billing you will find when searching Comwave you will find complaints about service for slow bandwidth to poor reception in calls... Then comes the complaints about customer service or the lack of it might be a better term.

There is talk of a class action law suit going to be filed against Comwave in the near future so for the many who have lost money to this company there could be hope after all.

Be SMART look on line before thinking of joining the hundreds who get lured by phone service $4.95 or N/C long distance

Sucks

I sign up for comwave expecting to have a good service and reasonable price for home phone, on a month to month, they charge me $144 for deposit and device, they told me it was easy to cancel and no charge. I ve been calling them for 4 days already, they give u good deals like discounts, free month but nothing at the end. To good to be true with the deals. They charge me $33 tho they offered me a free month??? NO TO COMWAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is my first time to make a review to a company, as i am really pissed with how they tried to fool people and get your money.

Dumb Monkey

When will Comwave put that dumb (Domi) yelling monkey back in his cage? The moment I see or hear him, I change the channel and would never consider dealing with Comwave as long as this idiot is in my face. Nothing more than a "goon" while playing hockey, he now yells at us (and our kids about fighting). Aside from his stupidity, he can really upset a person's stomach while watching his monkey act.

refuse to give refund

Shortly after ordering com wav for my new address I discovered that cogeco was the server for where I was moving. I cancelled the service. Com wav had already taken the money out of my account. I telephoned for a refund on February 3rd. They said the refund had been processed and would be returned to me on February 11. I telephoned on February 10th The people I spoke to stated that the refund had just been processed today because I telephoned. If money is not in account by 5 p.m tomorrow I will be lodging a complaint with CCt.

Comwave The Scammers

I recently moved my service to another provider and comwave started showing true color. I was told that $50 cancellation fee will be charged at the time contract was signed. Other provider requested port of my number and I got call from them that I will be charged $50 service fee. I called them back that I don't need to port my number and will get new number from other provider. This fee was never disclosed to me before and I told her that I am aware of $50 cancellation fee and will pay this fee. Then after few days they charged me $200 for cancellation fee. I bought my modem from them and I got email to return it or I will be charged other $80. I requested for transcript of my phone calls and emails and nothing happened. Then I got call from their customer care department and was told by a female agent that she will discuss it with her manager and get back to me. She never called me back and when I called them back then I was told that no one called me and I am just lying. People should stay away from this company. I cant believe that a company which is committing fraud is allowed to have operations in Canada.

I have filed complaint with CCTS and will be filing with BBB. This is the review posted on my3cents.com. I have recorded few of phone calls with your reps and will be posting on utube and face book. These calls will also be forwarded to CCTS and BBB.

Scammers

I cancelled my account 8 months ago, it was not cancelled although they have records showing I called to cancel they still want me to pay for another contract which I did not sign but because they did not cancel my account they want me to pay for their screw up I would not recommend this phone company to anyone

Comwave will try to Rob you

I will say a BIG NO to Comwave. They will sound very reasonable when you first try them. But will really screw you when you want to get rid of them. After staying 2.5 years, when I decided to move away, their rep was simply arguing to get $200 cancellation fee for each services in my Bundle package. Did anyone heard of such a robbery???? She was arguing that I will pay $400 penalty for few remaining months in my 3 year contract. That amount will be more than what you save from their much inferior service. Also be ready to waste lot of your time over phone to get to speak with their representatives.

If you want a better package within Comwave, they don't help either. For everything they want another 3 years contract! And at the end they will screw you up with more fees! Believe guys, in our short life, 3 years contract is too much, and that too for such a bad service. Once you are in, comwave just don't help you in anyway down the road.

So, my call is to stay away from Comwave...

Stay away from Comwave!

I actually like Tie Domi. I'd ask him to stop advertising for Comwave because something fishy is going on...
Last year I discovered that Comwave were overcharging my overseas calls. I called and they offered a compensation. I accepted and moved on.
But the "mistake" repeats itself this year when all my phone calls to certain overseas mobile lines are being charged 48.5 c/min instead of 6 c/min. Over 8 times more! Ontop of that, the billed overseas calls are affected by unreal Us to CAD exchange rates of 1.4 to 1.45. As there are many of us in my household using the same line I failed noticing. My bad!
I called the company and after going through a couple of regular agents and a Supervisor I was offered a $90 compensation over the next 3 months. Only for the month of November 2017 I calculated an overcharge of CAD 94.5 after tax, using their outrageous exchange rate of 1.44. I calculated that I've been overcharged at least CAD 350 this year, not including the month of December.
The Comwave Supervisor had the gift of the gab but could only blame this on "some difficulties the company is experiencing" and the exchange rate to the US dollar.
All my calculations are based on Comwave's online invoices - there's nothing made up. I never disputed the minutes they are charging, for instance.
Final point: I was let know that the charges will continue at 48.5 c/min.
Hey, Mr. Domi, how about the little guy being screwed over by the big company?

cancellation service

it is the worst company I ever dealt with, I had the home phone service that is the basic service.. for 2.5 years the service was not that great like it cut by itself during the call or you hear noise while talking,,go to the answer machine without ringing first..so many things but the worst happened from one and half month ago when they cut the service without telling me and i tried to call the technical support with no answer and waiting for more than 40 min with no answer I sent about 12 e-mails but always automated e-mail that I have to call customer service , I tried to explain that no one there to answer the call but without any response from them.. today I insisted to call and stayed on hold for about 30 mins to speak to customer service and told her that all i want is to cancel the service which I don't have for more that one and half month she transferred the line to the supervisor which I had to be on hold for him for more than 35 min finally he answered me and it was the most ridiculous unbelievable conversation I had ever had.. he insisted that I have to pay cancellation service fee of $154 for a service I don't have because they cut it without telling me but still repeating himself that i either have to pay monthly for service that I don't have or paying the cancellation fee now .. for more that 45 mins I was so frustrated and about to be crazy and I told him that I will go public for this and he didn't care and insist that I have to pay if | want to cancel and no options.. it is the worst company I have ever dealt with no one care about the customer and no technical support or anything and still taking your money ..don't ever sign with them any contract

PHONE/TV/INTERNET BUNDLE

COMWAVE IS A FRAUD. THEY'VE TAKEN MY $320 DEPOSIT, PROMISED ME A 30 DAYS TRIAL SINCE DECEMBER 12, 2017. GUESS WHAT IT'S NOW JANUARY 11, 2018 & I STILL HAVE NO TV SERVICE. I'VE BEEN CALLING & WRITING TO CANCEL THE SERVICE & REQUEST MY DEPOSIT BACK SINCE JANUARY 3, 2018 BUT ALL I KEEP GETTING IS THE RUN AROUND. EVEN THEIR OMBUDSMAN DEPARTMENT IS GIVING ME THE RUNAROUND - THEY TELL ME TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE BY PHONE FOR MY TYPE OF ISSUE & WHEN I DO I END UP SPENDING 2 HOURS ON THE PHONE (BETWEEN BEING PUT ON HOLD OR WAITING TO SPEAK WITH AN AGENT). GUESS WHAT, CUSTOMER SERVICE TURNS AROUND AND TELLS ME TO WAIT FOR SOMEONE FROM THE OMBUDSMAN TO CONTACT ME AS THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING AT THEIR END. EVEN NUMBERS I WAS GIVEN BY THEIR AGENTS DON'T WORK & CAN'T GET THROUGH IT. I HAVE BEEN LIED TO EVERY TIME I HAVE CALLED, FROM FALSE PROMISES TO BEING TOLD MY CANCELLATION WILL BE PROCESSED & THEN TO BE TOLD AFTER MY ACCOUNT IS ACTIVE & THEIR PLANS OF GIVING ME MORE SERVICES. THE 30 DAYS TRIAL PERIOD WILL END TOMORROW BUT THEY ARE AVOIDING TO END IT & I DON'T EVEN HAVE A TV, USE THEIR INTERNET OR PHONE. COMWAVE IS A FRAUD - BIG TIME FRAUD. STAY AWAY. WORST SERVICE EVER

DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER!!!!

Their services are absolutely horrible. Extremely poor connection and very spotty. However even more than the actual service issues, I have issues with their customer service group. More than any other provider I have used so far, this is the worst customer service group by far!! A technician had to come out at least 4 times and with no improvement to the service to speak of. I have tried cancelling with them numerous times. I'm either put on hold for over 30 mins or hung up on. And they want to charge $200 to cancel the account per service. DO NOT USE THEM!!! The worst company ever!!!!!

Comwave violating Competition Bureau

Comwave is a total scam. Don't sign anything with Comwave, don't transfer any numbers over, don't cancell your current provider in the first 30 days. Even their so called "30 Day No Obligation Trial" is a violation of the Competition Bureau's "Misleading advertising and labelling law". Comwave charged me for using their services while under the "30 Day No Obligation Trial". Comwave tacked on an illegal $25 NSF charge on me when I put a stop on my account through the bank when Comwave cancelled the account within the first 30 days. All illegal and all in violatin with the Competition Bureau. Anyone who has had this happen file a complaint with the Competition Bureau under the "Misleading advertising and labelling law".

I've never seen overwhelming condemnation of a company's outrageous business practices. I'm glad I saw these reviews. I'm shopping for alternate internet/TV service and Comwave is definitely out of consideration.

That was close

Thanks for the honest reviews people I nearly made a bad mistake. This is so beneficial for the consumer to help steer us away from these online predator's. Something needs to be done about this industry and companies such as Comwave. They and others are the cancers that are eroding the the fabric of this industry. I guess you could say these companies are situated within the fray of the deteriorated industry. So where do we go from here? Ah ha!!! What left of course Telus, Rogers,Bell ect they want you to sign your life away and when they have your signature you know where they're going to give it to you lol. You would hope our elected our officials would do something being that everything is way more expensive than anywhere else. SLOW THE GREED TRAIN DOWN !!!

A class action suit would be a great idea!

The home phone service was never very good, especially the quality of reception. I also had internet with Comwave, so when I sold my house and found I’d moved to an area Comwave doesn’t serve, I was able to cancel the internet service without penalty. My new internet provider offers free home phone service, so when I cancelled my contract with Comwave, I was charged a $200.00 cancellation fee. For that amount of money, I assumed that I’d be able to keep my phone number. After many hours being put on hold, Comwave wanted to charge me another $200.00 reactivation fee PLUS a $50.00 administration fee, just to keep my old number! After a few well-placed expletives, I gave up and will be informing lots of people that my phone number has changed! If you’re smart, don’t have any dealings with this company!!!

Avoid at All Costs

Avoid at all costs. The most horrible service provider and costumer service I have ever seen. The speed is unacceptable, I pay for 25 MBPS but receiving 8-10 MBPS and internet drops constantly.

There are MAJOR SAFETY concerns with their phone services. Their internet services drops constantly and when it comes back on the phone is not working saying "NO SERVICES". I have woken many times in the morning finding out that the phone is not working. If my house was on fire or had a break and enter, I would have not been able to contact 911.

Most of all, when I call their costumer service, they advise me that there is nothing wrong with my services.
