Streaks between panes / seal issue
Crestline does NOT stand behind their junk windows, they make excuses instead of fixing the problem/s. We have had troubles with Crestline windows since the day we picked them up from Menards (they also do not stand behind the windows) the windows Menards shows in the store are not the same quality you get when special order. the windows were cheaply wrapped with no protection. We've had the repair guy over 3 times, (he's more like a mediator) . Here's some of the problems we've had in the first couple days/weeks/ months:
Bowed frames, 2 bowed window pane frames (cut wrong), frames out of square, twisted frames, broke/uneven mullion joint, bad springs (can't open), 2 cracked window frames inside and out, bad seals VERY leaky, bad locks, MAJOR ice/water build-up, so bad that water runs down onto our jambs...and not because our house is too humid (they like to say that to put the blame on you)
These are a few of the problems we've had in the first 6 months, I can't wait to see what the first year brings. Don't buy Crestline windows they are JUNK!, we learned the hard way and for what we payed for "special order size" windows (which we found out later that 4 of our windows were stock sizes and Menards charged us a special order fee) we could have bought much better quality windows, and not to mention the money we have to spend on replacing the seals/weather stripping on the windows. I have seen where many others are looking to file a class action suit...I'M ALL IN!!!

Rotting clad Casement windows
My house is 15 years old. It was built with all Crestline clad casement windows. 4 of the 15 windows the lower inside support has rotted and failed with no or little support from water infiltration. There is no more support for the crank mechanism and the air seal is no longer effective. I cannot open or use the windows any more. I must replace the windows prior the next summer cooling season. The Crestline site was no help gave me the runaround I wanted someone to care about their product. First that it failed, possibly send someone to investigate to prevent it in the future. Find out why (or if Crestline does not know why Crestline will not tell me it may make them liable or is that why Crestline does not make my style anymore? Crestline should of had suggestions on what I should do, possibly help recommend a reputable contractor that could repair or install new windows. If I was real lucky a possible discount on new windows, only if I were to believe new Crestline windows would last longer than the ones that failed. I did not want some BS about it is out of warranty too bad cannot help you we sell new windows and parts at Menards. I could have done that without the emails and aggravation. I was under the wrong assumption Crestline might care about their product

Noisy Crestline Windows
Replaced my 30 year old wood single pane windows with Crestline 250 series from Menards. They seem to be more efficient than the old windows but they allow noises to echo into the house. I wish I would had chose a window with the frames filled with insulation. I might replace the bedroom windows in the master because of this. My jeldwen front windows are also noisy but they are three times bigger.

not happy
The crestline storm windows bottom part is rotting away the wood. I already enter a complaint but I didn't like the answer. Crestline has my picture already that Menards sent them. I feel they should stand by the product .and pay for the repairs or new storm windows. My neighbor said the storms need weep holes for the water to drain.
Thank You

crestline windows are lemons
We built our home in 2004. We have a large home with lots of windows. This product is an utter fail. We feel like we are being closed in by the staining of the windows from gas leakage. It's incredible that a company would produce such junk for supposed high end windows. They have awful customer service. "We have no one in your area" "there is nothing we can do" I'll send you an email. They do not stand behind their product. Don't waste your money on such a window whose manufacturer and service people do not stand behind their products. I have never posted online negatively about any product before, but want to save others the large expense and frustration when a product is a lemon.

JUNK WINDOWS
We had to buy a Crestline Window special order to fit our bow window size in living room. Thankfully we bought a different brand to replace the other windows in our house. We had stained and varnished the bottom ledge of the bow window and one day there was a puddle of water on the ledge which ruined the stain and varnish. We could not figure out where the water was getting in until a month later mildew and mold was starting to grow where the seal around the glass is. When I called Crestline they said it was a wear issue and they don't cover it, but that I could buy some caulking stuff from them and put it around where the seal broke. They had some word for what it was called but don't remember what it was. We haven't had our window for only about 3 years. The sun does not hit that window very much which was one of there excuses why it was worn. DO NOT BUY CRESTLINE. I just wish I would have read the reviews before we paid a decent amount for this garbage. If there is a lawsuit please let me know as I'm all in to get this fraudulent company closed down for good so they can't screw someone else.

Crestline Window Lifetime Warranty is Worthless
We purchased Crestline windows in 1999-2000 for our home, as they came with a lifetime warranty for the original owner. As I was revarnishing my casement windows, I noticed the outer vinyl edge was cracking off, and one of the crank mechanisms fell apart and doesn't work. That window cracked from corner to corner diagonally (and it's upstairs, so not from a mower, etc.) I found all of my receipts, warranty, etc., and started making phone calls. Then emails. Turns out, High Brothers (where I bought the windows) could not help me because only Menards could sell Crestline windows now. Weathershield bought out Crestline 8 years ago. They referred me to someone near Jefferson City who did their warranty work. That's an hour plus away, and they said they couldn't help me. Weathershield did send me a form to fill out, and required pictures, documents, etc. I took pictures of my documents, windows, etc., and sent them the info via email. They replied (see below) and after my asking them again if they were going to reimburse me, they said, 'My apologies, unfortunately no. Even current manufactured components like this would not be covered by warranty after 1-5 years.
The exterior sash/weather-strip is subject to environmental, and weather conditions-which we have no control over. Plus it is subject to normal wear and tear.
Even warrantied parts can not be provided for that window line as that vintage is no longer manufactured. All of the reserve assets used to satisfy claims on "old-style" parts have been exhausted.
Again our apologies.

Here's the prior reply:
Thank you for your inquiry. We appreciate your business, and are dedicated to providing the best possible service. Our focus remains on our current products and warranty covered products to give the best service. Weather Shield did purchase SNE and the Crestline product, however this product "Crestwood" was produced much earlier. My apologies, those extrusion/parts are no longer available as we do not have that vintage of dies & tooling.
There are a few 3rd party suppliers, whom specialize in servicing windows and doors for products/parts that are no longer in production. Many have stock parts and some have the machinery to reproduce the parts needed. They offer many different name brand window parts for other companies as well. Their expertise in historical replacement parts, and supplier partnerships for such parts enable them to service you more effectively than we could hope to. Again my apologies, please try one of those companies listed below.
-- and then they listed several companies.

Do not buy!!
I built a house and put in all crestline windows and doors. The oval windows they sold me apparently didn't come with inside trim so I had to make my own. The handles for the crank out windows are absolutely junk. Now the weather stripping is bad on the patio doors and they don't have parts! So I guess if you have older doors and windows youre screwed. I spent over 17,000 for horrible products. DO NOT BUY!!!!

wow
Did any of you actually read the warranty on what was covered BEFORE you bought the units? You get what you pay for. and why would you buy windows at a discount store??? Its like buying a car - go to the discount car sales place or go to a reputable Ford/ Chevy/GMC dealer!

Crestline Windows Warranty 2000 - 2005
I live in Hometown Village - Delcor Homes was my builder - They used Crestline Windows and some of the thermal seals have failed so the windows are fogging. Does anyone have a copy of the Crestline Window Warranty from around 2003? Crestline is gone now but Menards is using Weather Shield to replace the windows but only at 50%. I'm sure that I was told that we had a 100% thermal seal failure guaranty for 20 years. I need a copy of the Crestline Warranty from 2003 to prove them wrong!

Crestline windows don't hold up, no parts
I bought Crestline wood windows to replace old wooden windows for a old farm house being remodeled, around 20 years ago, Back then, Crestline was considered the top-of-the-line windows to buy, and paid a premium price for them. Well they did not hold up. The windows no longer seal, and have to close the window down on to felt strips, to seal out the wind noise in the winter months. The windows no longer stay open, because the spring attachments that hold the windows open, are breaking. "Can't get parts", so to keep the windows from coming down, have to resort to using wood strips of various sizes, to keep the windows open, till I figure out how to make the parts that are broken. We replaced 28 windows in all, 10 Crestline for the downstairs, and 18 cheaper replacement windows, made in Fort Wayne, but are no longer in business. Well, the cheaper ones didn't hold up either, make of vinyl, instead of wood, with insulated glass. Those are now fogging up between the glass panes. Can't win, no matter what.

Crestline windows Piece of CRAP
I bought 3 crestline double hung windows a few years ago and right away I had problems with one being difficult to open. It also began not staying open and I have to use a block of wood to keep it up. I called crestline and spoke to a woman and explained the problem and right away I was told it's not under warranty and I have to call a tech and pay him to come out and fix it. When I questioned her about their brochure stating a lifetime limited warranty on page 19, and asked why its not covered and I have to call and pay a tech,, she said-Quote-" sorry, that's the way it is". They are a piece of SH!T and I warn everyone to NOT bother with this company. They don't stand behind their products.
