cscs test and cscs card booking

Book my test though them was quick and easy staff was helpful will highly recommend it. I tried to book with other customer service was worst one of the company is censura.

i have just been on hold for 53 minutes on a mobile phone to the cscs pay department. this is absolutely disgusting, people who run this outfit ought to be ashamed of themselves. still nobody answered probably supping tea and coffee set of muppets

every thing a joke cscs cards
What a nightmare they are how are they allowed to operate a business especially now when there's no work out there . I have tried loads of times to phone them but they don't answer the phone .how rude .
Fed up waiting for my Cscs card now . It's hard enough when you got one working on these building sites
As a 17 year's experience in drylining as a good quality bloke . The answer now is it not worth working

did not recieve card
I did the cscs card exam at triumph way coventry in 2006-07 paid for the card filled out the application form but did not recieve it, the cscs people claim they could not process the application, I was not a qualified plasterer then, but as time went on I did manage to do the Plastering NVQ Level 2 trade test at coventry college in 2010 to the tune of £500.00 thinking the whole thing should run smoothly when re-applying after qualifing the same thing happened again, so due to not having the cscs card was told by Lovells to leave the site I was working on for 8 months because too long a time had been spent working for them without the correct documentation, not only should I be suing the cscs peole for those loss of earnings I should also like the question answered what went on? why was it not processed the first time? and thirdly how can you get away with this? I sent payment and all details for a cscs card for my grandson and have heard nothing since. I have sent e mails and tried telephoning them but they have never answered the phone and have never answered any of my e mails It looks like they have just kept the thirty pounds fee for the card I will find this out when I get my next bank statement.

the test for a joiner is a joke,most of the quetions are not relevent to my job are only fit for 10 year olds to answer. i sat the test passed the test and then after six weeks of waiting and a few phone calls it is on its way to me.i have been ripped off by the tune of £70 intotal for a test a card and new photos for the card.for what benefit to me is the card? answer none and why should i need to resit the test every 5 years. It is quicker and easyer to get a new passport.I think the cscs card is a waste of my money and time!!!!

trying to pay for cscs card
i have never been mucked about so much in my life for a micky mouse card i passed my test about 6 month ago and i try to ring your HOT LINE HAHA was told a 20 minute wait 40 minutes later still nothing i've also emailed 3 times no responce so i'm just sitting on the dole now no card no work. a old man i worked with has gone on the sick till he gets his pension becouse at his time in life he carn't be bothered with the hassle all this card does is put people on the dole.

CSCS Phone line - mickey takers -stealth costs
I have had exactly the same experience as all of the above. it took me 4 days to pay for my CSCS card on their 0344 9944 777 phone number 5 pence a minute by the way! day1. rang 4 times averaging 10 min before I gave up (40 mins). day2 rang 2 times (10 mins), I only stay on if its they say 20 min wait ( this is rubbish estimate - more like 45-60 mins). day3 40 mins waiting. Day 4 Rang at 8.06am got excited as no waiting queue announced and then waited 54 mins before somebody answered!! told myself don’t angry straight away get my card sorted first, which I did and total time was 1hr 12 secs!! So you get the idea. Grand total was 170 min x 5pence = £8.50 extra cost, stealth tax call it what you like but CSCS are taking the F ing piss. After making my point to lady on the phone " I wouldn't wait in queue in a shop for over an hour so why do CSCS think its OK to do that and charge me for the privilege" she replied there is a customer survey where I can register my complaint but No they wouldn't refund my phone charges ( she almost laughed at this idea!) and the managers were aware of the phone issue. So I’m expected to waste more of my time for their convenience!!! Customer surveys are companies lazy consumer research, measuring bars to see how much they can get away with and a poor excuse when they have been caught red handed " yes we are aware of the issue our customer feedback has identified.. blah blah blah”. I can see this has been going on since 2012 and surprised more people haven't raised this issue.
I doing this so other people don’t have to go through the same miserable process, so if you know of other people going through this torment encourage them to tell. I couldn't find much about this when I googled it

un- professional set up
It is clear to me that CSCs have a big problem it comes across as they have only a small number of people working for them when it comes to answering the phone 55 min yesterday no answer 10 today no answer.
The reason I tried ringing is due to the fact that this company has taken a non refundable payment on two occasions and have not refunded us even though it is clearly there fault on the first occasion two different people called us and spoke to two different employees asking for payment the payment was made before the realisation set in that this had happened but cscs refuse to refund .
The second scenario on Friday morning cscs rang for a payment for two employees cards then on Friday afternoon sent an e mail saying one of these employees already had a card don't these people talk to one another anyway I have let them know I intend to go to trading standards and to watch dog its about time something was done its not as if we can get these cards anywhere else.

I have just spent 3 days training ground for my cscs card test and got one question incorrect ! Failed ! Only to find out after the test other 7 people sitting the same test with me today all passed and had between 2 and 7 questions wrong ! It's a total rip off now I am £70 plus another £60 in travel expenses out of pocket and they couldn't even tell me why I didn't pass. Very very unhappy with the service in Scotland as I have held the same qualification in both Spain and Southern Ireland. A complete joke

cscs scheme is a scam
the cscs card scheme is a complete money making scam designed to fleece already skilled workers of their very hard earned money.
Qualified and / or experienced trades people should, in no way shape or form, have to fork out any extra money in order to do the job they have been trained to do or have been doing for years .
It should be abolished immediately and all monies be refunded.
If the government want to approve a pointless scheme where by a workers ability, qualifications and experience don't count , then they should fund it.
The cscs poeple are getting very rich off of this scam !!

its a con got my cscs on grandfather rights when they started. Let it go when i moved jobs tried to get it back a few years later and was refused!! what do they think ive forgotten how to do my job." same-old" people who dont know anything about the trade other than someone who couldn't make it doing the job and scurrying to a easier option then bullshiting intellectual idiots to to make rules to control / suppress the real workers

SECOND CSCS TEST
when the first test come out originally all they you was a set of paper with various traders their names and telephone number in which all were wrong normal govenment but when they found out they could make a lot of money they started to get far more orangised last year you could take your test for £19.95 and get your card now they have increased it including the other answers to the new questions and the total is now get this £180.00 9 times the ammount of last year then you have to make a phone after the first test wait an hour and they say they would send you an email what you never get tried three times they say they want you in work but do everything to make sure its as hard as they can make it HYPERCRITS

NEW CARD
Have now been waiting more than 15 working days for my new card - paid £50 as was told this would be fast tracked - have been told on more than one occasion I would have it - not able to work without it - have a family to support - Just come off the phone again because the previous employee had told me she could email a photo copy of card - this was a lie as they have just text to say it will be with me within the next 7 working days SO FRUSTRATING!!!!
THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT

I have both Advanced and Supervisor Level eCITB international Health and Safety Passport cards which I took while working abroad.
It was a three day intensive course but according to the CSCS authority on UK Health and Safety that they are not acceptable and they are forcing me to do their 45 minute online course at a test centre.
I have been in construction for over 40 years and held senior PM and project director roles. CSCS do not accept any of this or my Masters Degree in Project Management.
The CSCS card process is a tax for being in the construction industry and without the card you are unlikely to get access to site or continue in your profession. Having the CSCS card does not protect you from being in an accident on site. In fact the H&S standards I have witnessed in the UK recently are appalling. But 'Hey' everyone on site paid for a CSCS card. That is what matters!
Who owns the CSCS organisation. They must be very rich. I have heard that the fees are going up again and the CSCS card will only last for 2 years instaed of the current 5 years. Can nobody see what I can see? This is pushing the cost of construction up and forcing people out of the industry. Just for greed.

What a joke,just to get more money out of us workers,I'm a road liner and it was bad enough last time I got my cscs card,sitting in front of a computer for 20mins answering questions which have nothing to do with my job,I don't dig holes I don't erect scaffolding etc ,now I have to give up a whole day to train for something which has no relevance to my trade ,what a joke,last year I passed my hgv and to drive for a living I had to do a cpc in a classroom,this included health and safety ,loading etc,when I was a butcher I had to do a basic food hygiene coarse makes sense realy,so why in this industry should I have to do a coarse with no relevance to my job,I've been doing this for 25 yrs and seriously thinking of jaking it in because the industry is a joke
