Cybersource is an online credit card payment processing, fraud and security management. service provider. Their services and products are: Global Payment Services, Fraud Management, Reporting and reconcilidation, payment security, small business/authorize.net and professional services. Various websites report that the greatest con of this company is that binding contracts, larger setup fees and inflated transaction fees could be a problem for merchants doing large volumes of sales. Their client support is available from 6 AM to 6 PM Pacific time. It has been reported that their product, Cybersource Essentials is an easy to use toolkit designed for merchants who do moderate amount of online sales.
There are a few reports about this company's payment portal service online. The users report that despite the company advertises the lowest rates, it is quite difficult to establish how much they're charging per individual transaction. They don't provide the statements online. It is very difficult to find out the information regarding these charges in the paper statements as well since they state how much they charge per day, not per transaction. The users reported that they had to calculate the rates themselves and the rates vary from 2.1% to 3% which means that the rate is not flat. This lead to great problems while declaring the income tax as well as to extra charges for extra statements from cybersource. Another user also reported that after facing these difficulties it is hard to break the contract with the company without paying them the penalty.
One of the company's employees also commented on how is it to work for the company. He underlined that the main cons are 10 - 12 hour shifts in the network operations center (NOC), no breaks because theres not enough staff.
According to whois information, the domain is 17 years old already and it's server is located in Mountain View, CA, USA, hosted by Cybersource Corp., the server's IP address is 66.185.182.22 and the website's estimated value is $126706.1.

Allowed Fraudulant Activity - Acknowledged Loophole can be exploited
2 Fraudulant charges were authorized even though SmartAuth settings designed to prevent the transactions were in place. A credit card from a foreign bank that does not support AVS will get through even when the SmartAuth setting: Put into review if 1) AVS service is not available and 2) Card was issued outside of the United States. The first transaction was a credit card from a bank in Ireland and the second was a bank in Germany. Although the Cybersource representative I spoke with on the phone acknowledged the loophole and that thieves could exploit it they indicated there was no fixes available and that there were no plans to fix the issue. She acknowledge they were at fault but said they had no mechanism to refund the monies we lost. Do not trust Cybersource! We are now with Authorize.net who offer a robust security suite.
