Money being taken out of Account
As this Dead Sea Beauty Kit Offer was on Facebook I thought it would be genuine. I ordered the Kit at the beginning of August 2012, in came with no paperwork at all. I paid £3.95 on my credit card which was taken out on the 16th August. On the 31st August a further £59.95 was taken from my Credit Card - I don’t know what for. I have never given permission for anyone to take further money from my cards, I have not received and do not want to receive any more of these creams.
At no time was it stated that I should return anything if not satisfied, in face as I stated before I have had no correspondence with the Company.
I had the telephone number of the company from my Credit Card and there is no answer and no way of contacting them as far as I can find out.
How can I ensure that nothing else will be taken out of my account and how can I get my money back?

SCAM
My husband accepted on my behalf a free trial from dead sea beauty and order the kit, it was a trial for postage and packing only at £3.95.
Last week we noticed that dead sea beauty had taken a further £87.95 from the bank, my husband has reported this as fraud and have asked the bank (co operative bank) to stop all future payments to this company as they have taken it fraudently.
The bank is now refusing to get the money back as it was a trial, the trial yes at £3.95 not any other amount. The bank have said they will try and stop all future payments to them.
They have cancelled his debit card and is sending a new one with new details.
This has happened to so many people and some banks know about this scam company and have refunded some people but sadly ours wont.
my husband is phoning them when he gets back from work today.
If anyone sees this message i urge you not to send for the free trial from this company.
Also they do not list any ingrediants in their pots of cream, and if you send the trial back it has to go to israel at around £54 post office fees.
They claimed to someone else in this situation they do not have a warehouse in uk, but their products are despatched by a delivery company in north england.

Unexpected Charge for'Free Trial'
I have noted a charge on my bank account for £87.95, payable to DSMARL*DEADSEASET. I don't understand why I have been charged for this item, as I signed up online for what was advertised as a 'Free Trial'.
I paid an amount of approx. £11.00, which I assumed to be the postage charge. I could see nothing in the on-screen information about such a large charge being made, otherwise I would not have signed up to receive this item.
I am very annoyed that this money has been removed from my account and would like a full refund immediately. If I do not receive a refund, then I will have to take the matter further with Trading Standards.
I look forward to your early response.

Unauthorised charge on bank account
I have just logged a complaint about this company and have also just spoken to my bank regarding blocking any further charges that they may try to make. They have told me that once this block is in place, if a further payment is taken, then the bank will refund those payments. It is up to me to try to get a refund of the original payment, which I will be doing.
The bank also informed me that this company is the same company that is linked in the same 'Free Trial' advert on line. So, although the two products appear to be from different companies, they are in fact , one in the same company with a common telephone nuumber.
I was also informed that cancelling my debit card and getting a new one would not solve the problem, as only the first 12 numbers on the card are necessary to gain access to your funds. So my advice would be contact you bank and block payments through them. Then the bank is obligated to give you a full refund, should any further paymants be made.
I hope that these comments assist any other people like me who get duped by this company.

Pity I used my debit card which makes it harder. I am going to my bank on Monday morning to try get this sorted but I am very angry as this has put me out of pocket.
I will never take up special trial offers or freebies ever again

I purchased the the dead sea beauty kit through face book! Yes like all the other complaints on here I have been ripped off for £195.95 as they had the brass nerve to take this money over a period of 2 days the 6th and 7th of march this year! Unauthorised Payments
This Company is a scam - they help themselves to your Bank Account - no such thing as a "Free Trial" - cancel immediately or tell your bank not to authorise any payments and then monitor your account yourself. I have contacted my Bank this morning having noticed they have helped themselves to £97.95 out of my account without authority.
Do not be conned!

Dead Sea Beauty Kit
It is a scam and the irony of it is. There is still a link to sample beauty products that takes you to this website, which actually appeared on this review website today!!!! Can you believe it. It runs through the ads in the top right corner and is called 'Beauty Samples Free'.
The best thing to do is, call you bank and cancel the debit/credit card you used for the payment. You must report it to the Police Fraud Squad as they won't do anything about the websites until they have loads of complaints. And trust me there are more than one website. Report them to the Advertising Standards and I'm also writing to Watchdog later today. The more people you tell the better as word will start to get round that it's a scam and fraudsters will have to find some other way to rip people off. you mustn't be embarrassed. I'm an intelligent young professional with a good job, as I'm sure many of you are and I was still taken in and I read an article by a journalist who said her very intelligent and normal friend was also taken in by the lure of trying beauty products for free.
Also log into your account on the website and change all the details. And ensure you tick the 'receive no refills box' or they have the right to keep taking more money from you. I put in loads of false details into my account like Town: Scamville, which was my amusement to myself...
Good luck everyone. Spread the word about the scam, tell you bank, register it on the Advertising complaints (ACA) website and through the police serious fraud squad website. If we fight back at least they can't rip off other people

dead sea beauty kit - next steps to beat the criminals
Hi All. I had this happen to me too. When you signed up, did you set up an account on their website and receive an email confirming this?
If you did you need to log back into the account and change all the details. I used things like 'Scamville' for the name of the town. Remove your bank card details, it will tell you it's incorrect, but just ignore this and go to the next page, it allows you to leave the bank card details box empty. And you need to click the 'do not send me refills' button. If you entered a password you always use on other websites, they now also have this. If you use the same password on your bank website, you must change this today in case they decide to sell on the details to other criminals who can hack into your bank account. They have your name, address, date of birth and card details and normal password, which they will be hoping you do use elsewhere. Nearly all the details they need to phone your bank and re-order a new debit card or change your internet log-in details.
Cancel the bank card that you used to make the order and definitely let your bank know and change any passwords/memorable information you have with them. Then if I was you, I'd also report it via the serious crime squad website as the more reports they have, the more likely they are to do something about it.
Also I would remove their website from your cookies list.
Hope this helps everyone.

Dead Sea Beauty Kit
I have also been caught up in this scam and am very angry with these scammers. Since July 2012 I have been trying to get my refund after returning the first 'auto refill' but have had no joy. Below is email to Dead Sea Beauty Kit customer support:
Dear Chris T.
Thank you for getting back to me about this - i was of the impression that i would only pay £3.95 for the gift kit but i was surprised that i had actually inadvertently 'signed up' to a monthly arrangement for the refill kit which i did not intend to do at all. I feel that the way this offer is advertised is very misleading hence my surprise. I have already paid a total of
8-5-12 £3.95
21-5-12 £57.95
21-6-12 £44.95
Total £106.85 an incredible £102.90 above what I thought I was going to pay. I am therefore proposing to pay only £30 for the kit i wanted to return as this is all I can afford otherwise I will return the kit and also have this offer looked at by the UK trading standards as so many people are being scammed out of their hard earned money because of deals that always seem too good to be true. I am sure this is not the case with your products but given the economic climate I will not hesitate to do this so other people dont fall into the same trap.
I am sorry to sound a bit harsh but this is the reality of the situation.
Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated and looking forward to a favourable reply.
Regards
Angeline G. Tshiyane

Hi Angeline,
We cannot process a refund for you at this point even if we wanted to as we no longer work with the merchant that process your payment.
You waited too long to provide us with a proof of postage.

Sean

Dear Elena
Thank you for your reply which I am naturally not happy about. Please could you kindly tell me if you received the beauty kit from me or not? I do understand that I was outside my trial period but does the recurring kit fall under the trial period as well? As for the recurring kit I got it in June and I returned it in July and I assumed that I'd been refunded but it was only when I checked my credit card statement much later that I noticed I had not been refunded. I am very disappointed by a big organisation like yourselves who cannot even compensate customers out of goodwill when there are issues like this. I am sure that my request will not break your company's bank.
I got into this contract in good faith without thinking that things would get so bad. I am certain you got the beauty kit back and you also got money as follows:
8-5-12 £3.95 (Trial kit)
21-5-12 £57.95 (Recurring kit - retained by me)
21-6-12 £44.95 (Recurring kit - returned to you by me)
All I am asking is for you to refund the £44.95 for the returned kit I don't care about the postage which I understand is my responsibility.
I am sure we can come to a compromise about this as I am appealing to your good business nature and good customer relations as I am sure you would like your customers to satisfied. Your favourable response to this request would be most appreciated.
Regards and gratidude
Angeline G. Tshiyane

Hello,
You were advised
to provide us with your proof of return as soon as you have it and we received it only now, more than 9 months later in this case we can not proceed with refund, furthermore you sent back the recurring kit beyond your trial period for it.
Kind regards,
Elena

Dear Zoe
Please can you explain to me why I was advised to return the product to yourselves after the expiry period and full refund would be made. If you check the previous correspondence regarding this you will be able to realise what went on so I would advise you go to the
beginning of this whole issue. I am forwarding the emails from yourselves regarding this.
Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated and a refund much more so.

They have given every excuse not to pay back the money even though they took money out of my account way past the so called trial period. So people beware and is there any way that this company can be investigated - Gloria Hunningford or Dom can handle this I'm sure.

RETURNING DEAD SEA BEAUTY KITS
I would advise anybody that wants to return the Dead Sea Beauty kit not to as you will not get your money back so you lose both ways (no product and no money) But if you do however, feel you would still want to return the kit this is the address I used:
If you choose to return the product instead, please send it here:
Dead Sea Beauty Kit
c/o Paloma Dead Sea, Ltd.
PO Box 5381
Caesarea 30889
Israel
I got all sorts of excuses right from the beginning and never got anywhere. It's a proper well organised scam that is so easy for people to fall into as it seems very genuine. Have these products actually been proven to work or to be worth their weight in gold at all and how does one go about proving that they actually work?

dead sea beauty kit SCAM
We were offered a dead sea kit for filling out an on line survey. The deal was that we would pay $5.95 for the kit as thanks for filling out the survey. The add said that the retail value was $89.95. That was in April, we still have received no product and yesterday we were billed an additional $149.95 to our Visa ( in addition to the $5.95 we were charged last month). The company apparently is in Great Britain and obviously they are ripping off alot of people. We can't afford this as I'm sure most others can't. I think the government or the Consumer and Corporate Affairs should put a stop to this on line fraud. If we don't pay, then our credit rating gets screwed up. It's a no win situation and we may be charged again next month........and we never even received the product!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T Get involved with these scams on the internet!!!

Yup - another review forum !!
And yes, I was totally taken in by them so am not a happy bunny
I returned the goods before the 30 days but they still refuse to refund my money - THEY ARE TOTAL CROOKS !!
I copied approx 32 pages of complaints about them and sent it to them - they weren't even bothered - in fact, I now get abusive mails from the staff basically telling me to go F**k myself !!
This is due to the fact that I send an e-mail EVERY day - they appear to have hundreds of staff because I never get a reply from the same person twice !!!
Just think, 32 pages of complaints, average of 25 on each page- that's a lot of £97.95's they are raking in !!! - and this has been going on for YEARS !!
I have to say that my bank ( NatWest ) were brilliant - I called them immediately I saw the £97.95 and they stopped any further payments going out to the bunch of crooks.
I have been advised to speak to the following, who all have had extensive dealings with this company:
Trading Standards
The British Embassy in Israel
Citizens Advice Bureau
Paul Lewis Mney Box the BBC
Martin Lewis on the BBC
We have to stop them doing this to other people
Keep the faith !
