problems with the card
There have been too many problems getting the card from them. two times it had been lost and we never received it, and the last time it did not work. company won’t apologize or anything

DIRECT EXPRESS CARD NOT ALWAYS ACCEPTED
I've received my card and used it without any problems, except for two things. They don't tell you this when you first get the card, and I've never seen it on their site:
----- (1) THE CARD IS REGARDED AS A 'PREPAID CARD' BY "people out there". This means that if you want to make a contribution to a non-profit, to your public radio station, public TV station, or perhaps purchase something, IT DOESN'T GO THROUGH. IT DOESN'T WORK. So, after a while you will notice that the transaction never showed up on your card -- and, as I found out today, that's the reason why! VERY embarrassing! A woman I had spoken to at Direct Express was under the impression that the card is "like any other MasterCard" in the universe and can be used as you would "any other" MasterCard. But since the card is not connected to a BANK(ster), IT DOESN'T WORK WITH SOME OUTLETS.
----- (2) I have never been able to access my transaction record online. I use a public computer, and one day I spent approximately a hour trying to access my information. I am very comfortable with computers. You are required discuss very personal details, and required to recite all of your personal information, in a place where you are supposed to be quiet -- and it STILL doesn't work. And they told me they did not have a consultant to correct the problem. I've owned the card about 1 1/2 years and have yet to see my account online.

ON 2-28-2014 I ONLY TOOK OUT $500 THE ATM CHARGED MY $2:50 WHITCH LEFT ME $187,79 LEFT OVER.SOMEONE HAS BEEN TAKING MY MONEY OUT OF MY DEBETCARD. LAST I CHECKED WAS JUST A FEW MINUTES AGO AND THERE WAS ONLY $141 LEFT OVER. WHITCH MEANS SOMEONE ELSE IS TAKING MY MONEY OUT OF MY DEBET CARD ACCOUNT! THIS IS ALL IVE GOT TO LIVE ON, PLEASE SEND ME ANTHER DIRECTEXPRESS DEBET CARD! SINCERLY DELORAS S GEARY!

PLEASE SEND ME ANOTHER DIRECTEXPRESS DEBET CARD. ON 2-28-2014 I HAD $711 DOLLERS IN MY DEBET CARD ACCOUNT. I JUST TOOK OUT $500. THE ATM ONLY CHARGED ME $2:50 . I HAD $187:00 LEFT ON MY DEBETCARD @ DIDNT TOUCH IT , TODAY I CHECKED ON MY DEBET CARD @ I ONLY HAVE $141:00 LEFT OVER, WHITCH MEANS THAT SOMEONE ELSE IS TAKING MY MONEY OUT OF MY DEBET CARD ACCOUNT!!!!!! THIS IS ALL THE MONEY IM LIVING ON BESIDES SOME FOODSTAMPS. I NEED YOU TO SEND ME A NEW DIRECTEXPRESS DEBET CARD ! WHERE HOPEFULLY I WONT HAVE THIS PROBLOM ANYMORE!!! SINCERLY DELORAS S GEARY!
