has to be a scam

This collection agency is a scam. I received a letter from them saying I have to pay $127 for some debt. When I finally got in touch with them they said I have to pay immediately although the letter said I had 30 days. They insisted I have only two. This has to be a scam, they didn't have any information about me except for my name.
