claim denial
So what you basically just said is that you made the assumption that a dealership should know whether or not any prior repairs had been made and if they weren't sure then go ahead and make unnecessary repairs to a vehicle just in case someone buys it AND is willing to pay more for their new vehicle because they changed the timing belt, right? Better so, they were obligated to tell you what maintenance and repairs needed to be done to the vehicle from the day you bought it going forward based on the time they knew you would keep the vehicle and how many miles they knew you would drive or they were untrustworthy. You should be upset at yourself for not doing your own research, having it checked by a mechanic and not reviewing what the warranty you paid for covered. Cancel the warranty and apply the money to the principal or if it's paid off then pocket the difference and dump the van and don't make the same mistake next time.
