Simply awful
I have tried a few local Ember Inn pubs, Mawney Arms, The Harrow, and the Optimist and last night at the Optimist was the last staw. When this current menu started the food was great at all three pubs but recently all three pubs have just got worse and worse to almost like they cant be bothered. Last night we waited half an hour for our food and when I asked what the problem was the Barmaid/Manager said oh its not the kitchen staff, its me Im on a go slow!!! She didnt even apologise as she just didnt give a damn!!! So thats it Ember Inn's can go to hell Ive just had it. Also my partner had violent sickness and diorrea last night which I dont know if this was to do with the food or not as it might be a bug but hey enough is enough!!! Im sick of the bad service and less and less effort with the food. Oh yea and thats without mentioning running out of the best ale on many occassions. Good ridence Ember Inns!!!

Poor food and many items not in kitchen from menu
On visiting Woodmans pub in Solihull on Monday 30December (visited before several times) were extremely disappointed with it. Many items were not available so had to re think several times. When starters arrived battered mushrooms were a disgrace for the cost - only 5 mushrooms in tiny dish on a wooden board with no dip or salad. Our son ordered sausage and mash and when it arrived there was barely one spoon of mash under the sausages and it looked all dry . The lasagnes were very sloppy and left much to be desired again for the cost. The Eton mess pudding was almost certainly 90% cream and hardly any meringue. To say we would now consider very carefully going back there is an understatement - there are plenty of pubs giving better food and cheaper .
