Customer Service
I ordered my TX birth certicate from Express Vitals on January 12th. I got an email confirmation that they had received all of the necessary documentation to complete the process the same day. I called on February 3rd to check on the status of my order. I was told that because I did not pay for expedited shipping and it was coming regular mail, it would be 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. If I had paid for expedited shipping it would have been 5 to 10 business days. I find this to be ridiculous, I am not sure I will ever get what I paid for. I would not recommend Express Vitals. There only thing Express about them is how quickly they take your money!!

Customer Service
August D. applied for her birth certificate in November 2011, as of this day she has not recieved the document. August is terminally ill and only has a very short time live. I am a very close friend of August and was given authorization too help her obtain her birth certificate. We gave express vitals 2 weeks which exceeds the alloted time coupled by the federal express fee. Now they are suppose to contact the customer if a problem occurs. They failed to contact her so we contacted them they said"a mid wife must have delivered August and it will take extra time but, we will contact you before Christmas. I wrote them a edited letter inquiring about the status. They responded too August in a very negative fashion in short Mike (one of the managers) stated their was nothing they could do and the letter was poorly written with misspelled words etc. and I was ignorant.(DEBORAH HER FRIEND). i AM GOING TO CONTACT EVERY ORGAQNIZATION THAT CAN HELP EITHER LOCATE HER BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR ESTABLISH A LEGAL LETTER THAT WILL BE CONSIDERED LEGAL. OUR FAMILY would like to take August to Canada but, she needs a passport. The clock is ticking for her life. This company needs to honor their ADVERTISMENT OR AT LEAST LET THE CUSTOMER KNOW THE STATIS.
THANK YOU [email protected] The correspondence I wrote as in March 4 months from initial application.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?
Wow...I couldn't believe my ears! I was just called a liar. I am a 70 year old gramma and am trying to help get my husbands Birth Certificate. I paid the amount required and it is listed in my bank statement. The order was placed on Feb. 5th and today is March 2nd. I never received a email. When we didn't receive the certificate after a month, I thought I would call. They have no record of our transaction and would not let me send them verification of payment. Even though I have a reference # and got their phone #
from my statement... I was called a liar and he hung up on us! I can't believe I have no recourse.

Be cautious
I found their website online and believed they could help me more quickly than I could do it myself. I later found out from one of my friends that they the service and had no problem. I read everything carefully and begin the process. They sent me a application form that I had to notarize and fortunately there was a notary where I was. I faxed it right off and receive the confirmation very quickly. This was on approximately 9/23. On 10/3 ,I received the second expected charge from the Vital Records Office of the county I was requesting the forms from. Express vitals. Com explanation of this whole procedure was accurate until this point. It stated ""The remaining $52.50 will be charged once your order has been accepted and shipped by the specifed vital record birth certificate agency." So I figured it has been shipped being THAT'S WHAT IT STATES. So as of 10/ 10 I have not received it. The shipping method said Express so I really thought I should have it by now. I emailed them and asked them and they gave me a standard answer of 5 to 14 days and ignored my question about the shipping method. I emailed them back noting the procedural explanation and ask them based on that whether it was wrong of me to be expecting it already. Also I asked them the shipping method. They've failed to respond regarding the procedural discrepancy which tells me they do not do what they say or have less control over the procedure then they claim. Nor care. But did tell me the shipping method was UPS. It appears I could have done this all just as fast myself and saved the money. I have been unemployed since 9/21 and am waiting on this.

Express Vitals is a Scam
This was undoubtedly the most horrible experience I have had ordering anything online. They were rude on the phone when I checked on my order to see why it hadn't arrived when I paid for express delivery. An envelope came in 6 days that had a letter inside saying they were unable to find any record of the birth. They charged me $96.50. When I called them back to ask if I would be charged the full amount the person who took my call yelled at me and called me names and hung up on me. I just wish I could save ANYONE from this experience. Not only did they steal my money, but they also now have vital record information, social security number information and my credit card information. This is a BAD company who will not deliver. Please just do NOT use them.

Sketchy
So I made an online order for my birth certificate and still have not received an email confirmation. i began to look at the reviews and saw nothing but negative reviews. I quickly called and tried to request a refund but they don't do that. they have all my information and I'm very worried. They sounded very unprofessional, and their voice quality sounded like they operated in low standards.

Don't Waste Your Money @ Express Vitals
I'm going to keep this review as short as possible. Absolutely DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ordering your birth certificate from Express Vitals. What they simply do is over-charge you a $49 "processing fee" to send you a long-form birth certificate, and use fancy words like "state certified" when in fact ALL long-form birth certificates are "state certified". Here's how you save your money; simply go to www.vitalchek.com, and pay the normal fee [$15 - $50] to obtain your birth certificate. Presto, and no rude customer service.

No Express in Express Vitals
10-15 days for a birth certificate is not "express". They imply that they can obtain your document faster than other services, but forget it...they can't. They over charge, they're rude and their advertising is a bunch of B.S.. Definitely not worth it.

Absolutly no respect for anyone
Im not saying I wasn't out of line with how I conducted myself in my e-mail poseted below, but I have never been so disrespected by a so called professional buisness. The confirmation e-mail I received after making my order stated the following:
"At this time we've received all of the necessary information to complete your request. Once your order is processed and forwarded to the specified vital record agency, we will send you an update using the e-mail address you've provided". I never received another Email updating anything hence why I sent my e-mail one day before the estimated delivery date. This was my e-mail sent to Expressvitals:
Hello, where is my document the specified time of arrival is tomorrow April 11. I need my paperwork NOW, the only reason I chose your establishment was based on the delivery date that was estimated. I haven't even received an email stating that anyone has processed a damn thing. Five days is plenty of time for someone to do there job don't you think. I would appreciate a response ASAP.
Robert S (The so-called supervisor) responded with the following e-mail:
Robert S.
You do realize that weekends do not count as a business day right Dumb***!You are not the sharpest tool in the shed are you?Stupid is Stupid Does! Here is your UPS tracking number and the package is being delivered today which is one day before your estimated date Ding Dong in case you are not smart enough to figure that out genius!
I dont think I need to say anything more about the complete disrespect this guy seems to think he can get away with, other than that this is what happens when there's no accountability for your actions. You get scum like this that think thay can say whatever thay want and there's not a damn thing anybody can do about it. Try to rebuttal that one Robert.

Rudeness beyond belief
Express vitals I will never in my lifetime use them again. I just spoke to the rudest man that I have ever ever met in my life. No customer service etiquette at all. I called to question the status of my order. And I gave him a cenario how we used another company in the past and we were going by the experience we had with them. He called me a liar. He made me repeat over again the processing time and then said okay there you have it what else am I supposed to do. I don't know if he ever had customer service training but it couldn't hurt. I can't really say anything about the company as of yet because I haven't received my document it hasn't been the full 6 days as of yet. But the customer service person I've never encountered anyone like him before.

Rip Off
This site was suggested to my student by her someone affiliated with her school's travel office. (That being said, it isn't promoted by the university.) After a payment withdraw to the company and a separate withdraw to what appears as the county, she has no birth certificate three months later. She was told the county was behind because of the (federal) government shutdown. (What a crock, do you think we are that stupid, etc..)
Anyway, I drove to the county of her birth, received three long forms and she applied for a passport which has now been received. The county had no record of a previous order affiliated with her name. However, the original long form has not! I'm also turning them into the BBB and the Governor's Consumer Complaints for absolute fraud!
Do not use this company for the service. Contact the applicable county direct.

FRAUD
Totally ripped me off. Took my money and never got my birth certificate. I wish I had read these reviews first. I paid them $150 and got nothing. I missed my 3k cruise because of them. Don't risk using this business. They are not reliable. They don't even answer the phone. Email only. Super shady. Shame on you express vitals. You ruined my vacation I save for a year to take.

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T DO IT!!!!
People read the reviews first.. THEY ARE REAL REVIEWS!!!! I'm so glad I did. My husband was going to order our birth certificates through this company, but I called the state first just to verify. The state of Tennessee said they are a RIP OFF and we should not be using these 3rd party companies. There is even a warning on the TN State website for all to see. Also, state/counties don't even charge that amount for their vital records (birth, death certificates etc.) When you see that a large amount is being charged to you, that is a RED FLAG! So call your county or state and ask them what website they use. I hope this helps someone.

Just now
A shameful ripoff, preying on people who need a certificate urgently. Do not use.
Express Vitals - charged £65, certificate not received 6 weeks later.
Surrey County Council - charged £11, certificate received in Scotland 5 days later, during the height of the Covid crisis.
This company is a shameful rip-off, completely devoid of any ethics. Before you pay, you are told you have qualified for "Fast Track - Free!!". Compounding the name of "Express Vitals" everything is intended to imply that you will receive your certificate faster than if you went straight to government yourself.
None of my emails questioning what "Fast Track" actually meant elicited an answer - just a whole load of irrelevant guff - and an invitation to pay an extra £40+ to have my certificate sent express. £40!! Look up the prices for Royal Mail track & trace next day for a single sheet of paper!
I don't know how this appalling organisation can be called to account, but PLEASE don't use them. Go to the local council, if you know it, of the place you were born. They even bothered to send a personal reply when I thanked them for their excellent service.
They completely ignored my demand for a refund, only pointing out that postage overseas was going to take longer. The certificate was going to Scotland, still part of the UK as I write, and with no sea to go over!
