Butchered my Hair

I went there with a friend and they totally ruined my hair. I went back to see if it could be fixed and the woman just made it worse. I had people coming up to me asking me what happen to my hair and saying that I looked terrible. I will never in my life go back there or recommend them to anyone else. If your desperate don't even go there your sure to end up with a hack job.

Butchered my Hair

I went to First Choice in Gravenhurst and had my hair butchered by Miranda. I asked her to cut 1 1/2 inches off all over. Then I made the mistake of removing my glasses. The woman started picking up pieces of hair and snipping away with no apparent plan. She did not clip it up in sections, she just started cutting. I stoppd her when she got out an electric razor and tried to run it up the back of my head. She said she was going to cut of the straggly bits. I didn't have any straggly bits before she started. At that point I put my glasses on and got the shock of my life. I guess she wanted to give every woman who goes in there the kind of mannish haircut she has. I am going on holiday in six days to visit people I have not seen in three years and my hair is a disaster. I could cry. There is nothing I can do but wait weeks for it to grow. Someone take that woman's scissors away, please.

I think you people are crazy, I have had my hair done in Angus by Donna and the other ladys and well I will deffinately be going back and I have spread the word and they also have had nothing but a great experence in the angus first choice hair cutters.

Totally butchered my hair

Went to get a trim. I have very fine, straight hair. I told her that I have a double crown and to watch how she cuts the back. She proceeded to comb my hair forward and cut it. She cut the sides so short that it looks like a man's buzz cut. You can see every scissor line. I went elsewhere to try to get it fixed so it's at least blended to hide scissor marks. Hiardress #2 said she couldn't do much and told me to let it grow for 8 weeks and not part it. That was a waste of money. I almost didn't want to go to my daughters college grad because my hair is so short and hideous. Totally looks like a man's haircut. It's now been 3 weeks since the original masacre and I have to go and try to get it fixed AGAIN at a salon. So in 3 weeks, I now will have spent about $58.00 for what should have been a nice simple trim. Even my husband said it looks awful and feels sorry for me. NEVER NEVER NEVER again will I go to First Choice. I guess I won't need a haircut for the rest of the year.

My 11 year old has long hair and wanted to have layers with a nose-length bang. Also wanted to have her hair washed and blow-dried. She was nervous and I told her it was important to speak up if there was anything that did not seem right to her. I left store, went to get a cold drink and when I came back she was standing there with wet hair. She was beat red and wanted to leave. So I paid the bill and
then we went outside to talk about what was wrong.
My daughter told me that she had to tell the stylist 3 times to cut the bangs to nose length, and that she was upset that her hair had not been blow dried. I asked my daughter why she did not get her hair blow-dried and she said she thought the stylist was going to do that, so apparently there was a mis-communication.
I then marched her back into the store where Angie dictated the cost of now drying my daughter's hair would be 18.99. She bent over the counter in a very accusing way and told her that she had already asked her. We are upset about this woman's negative influence and have decided to launch this complaint. It is an extreamely hot, humid day, but there is NO excuse for this kind of shabby customer service to an eleven year old kid and we of course would like some kind of a rebate. To be honest, the climate of comradship between the hairdressers was lacking today and we feel that Angie at least needs to be made aware of how her attitude affects the public and perhaps the other stylists. We have never had any complaints with getting her hair done before, so this is a first, and actually, apart fromt the fact that Angie ignored to chop layers throughout her head of hair, my daughter still looks beautiful. Thanks for reading this and the moral of the story is to find a stylist who we love and get the same one again. I doubt if we will be back to First Choice, and it will definitely go down in my daughter' mind and all her friends (she is exceptionally popular) what a "Last Choice" is all about. My daughter is well aware of bullying as she was top peace-maker of her grade six class, and feels that this woman was mean to her

Turned my hair into straw

I have been going to first choice haircutters for years and there has only been one stylist I have had good experiences with. Her name is Sarah. She always listens and does exactly what I ask for. I will not see anyone else anymore. My first bad experience was when I let an older woman cut my hair. She looked like she was maybe in her late 40's at the time. She had an accent, dark skin and dark hair. I found it difficult to communicate with her. I decided to try something new and dye my hair blonde. My hair is naturally medium blonde but I wanted it even lighter and didn't think this would be much of a problem. The woman dying my hair bleached it and did not put any colour on it. The entire time she was doing it she had to stop and consult other stylists on how to do it because she had NO IDEA what she was doing. Something that should have been a simple procedure was difficult and confusing for her. I honestly do not understand how she had a job doing hair. She seemed completely clueless. When she was done my hair was brittle and felt like straw. It wasn't even blonde. It was YELLOW. It was the worst hair experience of my life. The next day I went back to get it fixed and they died it back to a shade darker than my natural colour. I spent all that money to have hair look the same as it did before except less healthy.

poor customer service

I arrived at the location at 4:45 pm and didn't leave until 6:25. My complaint is that there were only two employee working in the salon and the manager. There were five customer waiting to get there hair cut and the manager (Michelle) was in the back of the store just sitting there not helping the two employees. She then would come to the front of the store to see how many people were waiting and then she would walk to the back and disappear for 15 minutes. The manager (Michelle) then came to the front of the salon and said goodbye to the two employees and walked out. I think as a Manager she should of taken consideration on the two employees and helping to take care of the customers. The people that were waiting to get there hair cut were very upset and could not understand why the Manager could not help. I have been going to this salon for eight years I know all the employees that work there including Michelle the Manager. Every time I go there Michelle seems like she doesn't want to be there. Even the employees complain about the lack of help she gives there. All the employees complain about Michelle.

Asian person on duty Tues. Dec. 24th was miserable with customer and displayed the attitude of rather not being there. very poor customer service.

Destroyed MY Hair

I could live with the bad hair cut, because when I went back within the 7 days I had to go back , a more mature lady fixed it up the best that she could. I went in to have my FIRST DYE, and the little amateur bitch totally destroyed my hair. I can't even get a comb threw it without loading it with conditioner and oils !! I picked a little lighter color then my hair was, and she bleached my whole head before coloring it. I have chemical burns all over the back of my neck and skull, and she didn't even get the color right !! It was suppose to be a strawberry blonde and I got golden/orange. Then another co-worker of hers tried to help her because I was not going out in public like that, helped her to put in a wash out dye to darken it a little and said to come back within the 7 days with my complaint. WTF !?! She f-ked up my hair and I sat there for over 4 hours for her to do this and try to fix it and do more f-king damage !! I am surprised my hair hasn't fallen out yet ! You should stop advertising that you will get a professional hairdresser when all that you hire are amateurs straight out of school just looking to get their training hours at customers expense!! And to add to it, I had to pay $100 for this disaster !! I am pondering if hiring a lawyer would be worth it !! F-king idiots !!
