CLEANING STAFF VACUM AROUND TREADMILL WHILE I WAS SPRINTING ON THE MACHINE, CONSEQENTLY VACUM HOSE CAUGHT AROUND MY LEG
23 MAY, 9.00AM, whilst I was sprinting on threadmill at Fitness First outlet (Capital Tower) at 13.8km/h. Cleaner squeezed behind my machine to vacum. The floor space behind was very narrow between machine and back wall, consequently the vacum hose caught around my leg whilst i was running on the treadmill. The clean pulled the hose and tripped me. this didnt happen just once but twice. I tripped and fell foward, and had to stop the machine luckily i grabbed the bar in front to prevent me falling.
The cleaner was rude, when I approached him. I then complained at front desk but the manager on duty was not available left my number for him to ring. He never did. so today 25 May I went to capital tower and asked to see the manager. Finally manager came out and i told him the story. I was horrified that he knew about the incident and did not bother to ring and offer and apology. When I approached him, he did not bother to ask me to see office and offer a proper explaination nor apology!
I am not sure why staff need to clean the premisies when the gym is crowded, esp mop and vacum while members are working out. If I had fallen during that incident and broken my leg then there would have been a legal action against the establishment.
The manager did not show any remorse nor did he really care!
Can there any thing be done who can I complain to higher than the outlet manager!
many thanks

Ladies Beware!
Ladies, please take special care when using the changing / shower at Fitness First (Paragon). This particular outlet has no qualms in allowing male repairmen into the ladies changing and shower area during peak periods. The only concession is that they make 'annoucements' which cannot be heard in the shower, 5 minutes beforehand! The staff does NOT notify those who are already in the shower. They do NOT cordon off the area where the repairmen will be. They do NOT warn members as they enter the club of the possible intrusion. This has happened to me twice in this year alone. If the club continues prioritising its contractors' schedule (routine maintenance, NOT urgent repair work) over its members' privacy, I will STOP being a member. I refuse to keep paying their ever increasing fees only to to be treated with such disregard! I will also let others know of my experience. You have been warned!
