Power shut off because I yelled at FPL worker
Stop yelling at the workers and stop lieing on here. Your electrician did something he was not supposed to and now you are in hot water. best get his records and go and talk calmly to the office manager.

Power shut off because I yelled at FPL worker
You got turned off because you got caught doing something illegal, not because you yelled at a worker. Look into it: tampering is illegal, cable company does too. I'd be ashamed to come out and say you just said on a public forum. Makes you look like a thief. You're the scam, its because of scams that our prices go up, ie: insurance scams.

Service
Then pay your bills on time. YOU are the parent. YOU are the responsible party here. IF you can not afford a bill that high then you need to take steps to make it lower.

disconnection
They turned mine off I payed and now I too have a huge deposit and it took 23 hours to turn it on I have 3 kids and we sat in the dark on an acre of land in the middle of nowhere our food was ruined I realize I did not pay the bill which is a ridiculous amount with all their extra added cost but 23 hours! there should be a shorter window in time of reconnect. We need other alternatives options choices they have monopolized at our expense. We should have a date where we all turn off our breakers let their ground shake...

Does not Accept Visa
"McDonalds doesnt take Diners Club"...this is a ridiculous comparison. My family doesnt NEED hamburgers. Electricity is essential. If FPL were a responsible provider and a ethical steward of such a vital service, they would accept ALL payment forms. In fact, it is unethical for them not to accept a form of valid payment such as Visa if they also accept MC. The truth is that Visa probably charges them a tenth of a percentage more than they want to accept . Im sure Visa and FPL's excutive clowns have battled back and forth with some sort of macho garbage and neither budged on the percentage...as a result the little guy (all of the consumers) get screwed. My lighths got shut off before because they wouldnt take Visa. IDIOTS! They wouldnt take my payment! Arrogant axxholes. They will all fry in hell on judgement day for what they do to people.

Does not Accept Visa
Here's a secret. Electric service is only interrupted when the final notice expires before FPL receives payment on the past due balance, nothing more.
Perhaps one's arrogance is keeping them from applying for a Visa, Discover, American Express or merely noting and ahering to the expiration date on the final notice.
One final thought, a customer can opt for a cash advance on a precious MC and gone to a pay station to provide payment before the final notice expired.
