message on cell that i won 32000 pounds
I have just received an SMS saying " Congratulations! Ur number was among the lucky winners onthe Global mobile yearly Promo, U won R175, 000, ticket NO: 019K Call MARIA MOKHO. This must be a scam.
Even though there is RIKA, these scams still get through on the MTN service? That bugs me most.

I have also just received the same sms and when I called the lady, she was yawning on the phone wanting to know where in SA I am. I asked for her company registration number, that's when she hung up.

scam - mobile global yearly promo
received a sms that I have won R275 000 in a mobile global yearly promo. I received a ref no and a cell no to contact a Kate Khumalo on 0739659483. I phoned her back on a land line and she told me that I must buy R220 worth of airtime and how I want the money, I told her that I will not give my bank account and that they can send it to my work address. she ask me to send my addres plus proof of the airtime that i have bought. I phone back again and the same lady answered. She told me that there offices are in Cape Town and she gave me a website address. www.mobileglobal.co.uk Is this a scam?

MOBILE GLOBAL PROMOTIONS
I am a retiree and was very happy when I got this SMS to say that I have won R175 000 in a mobile draw. I phoned Jennifer Mabaso on 0834162707 and then got an SMS to call a Mr Adams on 0780797444 / 0218136752. This SMS also said I had to pay R1950 for insurance and the cheque would be delivered to my door within 24 hours.
They told me that a lady in Polokwane had made the insurance payment and got her money in 24 hours. Jennifer phoned me again and I asked her for the lady in Polokwane's tel no for confirmation that she got the money. Have not heard from anyone again.
Can anybody confirm that they have actually received their money?

just recieved a sms ive won a R115.000.00 rand and must contact a mr.jones on this number 0787305823 ref nr GML91/ML..i phoned him he said i mst buy R150 airtime cellc to activate my price money i bought and gave him now after activation he is saying i mst pay R1699 for bank charges he even ate my R 150 also y they playing with peoples feeling i thought may be god is helping me for my problems plz do something with these people

I've received an sms; Congratulations!! your cellphone number has won R195.000 in the mobile global promotions 2014 Ref No 009NYP. For claims contact Mrs Gloria Mbatha on tel 0733909510. When I call her she asked me how do I want my money to be paid by cheque or on my bank account, I said by cheque she said it will be send to me within 24 hours but I must buy R180 MTN airtime and I must contact her after that

I received an sms message through cell phone no +27768836837 stating thus: Congratulations! Your cell nunber has won you R175,000.00 in 2014 NATIONAL GLOBAL PROMO, Your Ref NO:018 NGP,Call MRS.Cecilia Dube on 0782493249 for claim.
I would like to ask if there is a way of tracking this people down because they need to be taught some lessons. And the mobile providers should do something to prevent such act of using their platform to dupe the innocent people

I received today 12/03/2014 @ 11.58am, the exact same sms. Stating that "Congrasulations" Your cell number has won you
R175 000 in 2014 NATIONAL GLOBAL PROMOTION , YOUR REF.NO. 018NGP, Call MR. lawrence on 0782493249. to claim
from; 07729704121
When i did phone Mr. Lawrence said to me, to call back in 10min, which i did, and he told me do i want a check delivered or
do i want the noney paid into my bank account. Well i replied no i wiould like the check delivered. So he said i must sms my
name and address to him.
Now i came across this site and see so many people complaining, regarding this. If this is a scam please something needs to be done about this. Letting peoples hope up for nothing, i do not think this fare on us , especially if a person like myself really needs money, its a shame that their are people out there to do things like this and avoid punishment.

Scam
I received an SMS saying I have won $860,000.00usd and to claim it I had to send my name,age and phone number to this email address. [email protected] to claim my reward .when I emailed them a lady replied saying I have to email the bank for fund claim . After I emailed the bank the email could not he delivered because it was a spam then I told the Lady she gladly said I forward the email she will send it for me later on they told me to send money for them to deposit and sent me where am to send the money.what was funny was that she sent me the name of the person who will receive my money and the reason for sending the money clearly stated as (gift) decided to check online ,only to find that its a scam I was so annoyed because I thought its my financial freedom.
