Ad-Hominem Comment re: Snoop Lion / Marijuana
This morning (8-1-12) while watching Good Morning America's Pop News segment featuring Snoop Lion's religious based name change, I was stunned to hear Amy in the background say things like "what do they do in Jamaica?, referencing part of some Rastafarian uses of Marijuana.
Josh's comment about "he can't remember", as well as Laura's comparison to other successful Black Americans who have changed their names and have not claimed for the name change to be a part of a spiritual awakening ,was highly offensive.
The people of Jamaica, just like all other people, deserve to be referenced with respect and dignity. To relegate an entire nation to a marijuana reference is disrespectful and unfair. Furthermore, rastafarian culture views marijuana as a part of a spiritual pathway. Your reporting projected your own images about marijuana use onto a country (and in effect the millions of Jamaican-Americans in this country)and a religion that is closely associated with that country.

Whether or not you deem Snoop's name change a legitimate thing is your opinion. But in tying it in to Jamaica and rastafarian culture, you crossed a line that I hope is never crossed again when referring to any other country.

I HAVE WATCHED GMA FOR YEARS AND IT HAS BEEN MY FIRST CHOICE FOR A MORNING SHOW BUT AFTER THE PERFORMANCE OF MILEY ON GMA I MIGHT HAVE TO RE THINK MY DECISION. WHY? WHY? WAS THIS ALOUD TO CONTINUE. IS IT THE PRODUCERS FAULT, THE DIRECTORS FAULT, SURELY NOT ROBINS OR GEORGE"S FAULT. YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE TO AN ADVERTISEMENT AND NOT HAVE SHOWN THIS. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN GMA.

GMA Steals and Deals
I bought a product on May 1st of 2013 from GMA's Steals and Deals. It was a ProSonic Face Brush and replacement heads. I spent approx. $75 in total. I have sent several inquires to the company that GMA promoted on their show - a company named MAKE ME HEAL.COM - and have asked when I would be receiving my product. With each reply I was told "Your Prosonic will arrive next month. Have a Wonderful Day!" This company will not respond to my emails and has had my money for 102 days. How can I get in touch with GMA's Segment Producers so that they know - IF they don't already - that they promoted a company who practice deception and has zero customer service. I have read several reviews regarding this company since my purchase and wish that GMA had done a little digging before asking the American public to support this company with our hard earned dollars! I would like to think that GMA is a trusted source of information and promotion but I don't think I will be buying anything through their segment "STEALS and Deals" again.

GMA Steals and Deals big problem!
Before Mother's Day 2014, I purchased 4 Swirlios through GMA's Steals and Deals. Two arrived pretty quickly. Took a few weeks longer to receive the 2nd two.
The problem is the one I intended to keep never functioned at all. The 2nd one I sent to my daughter for Mother's Day, and it worked one time. The 2nd time she tried to use is...the very same day, it would no longer function. Both units have faulty on/off switches. I contacted the customer service number that came with the machine, was given other numbers to call, spoke with numerous people. Was send a UPS email that was supposed to contain and return label. It did not. Called again numerous times. The people I have spoken with don't seem to be with the company, but are some kind of drop-shipping outfit and don't seem to know much. Very unprofessional.
I want GMA to know about this problem with the item and with the customer service. I'm told I cannot get my money refunded. That I can only get an exchange. I really don't even want these anymore. This has taken so much time and money. I still have 2 unites that are unopened. They were for my other daughter and she is out of the country.
I would very much appreciate someone with GMA contacting me about this. It makes me wonder if this is some kind of scam. I'm so disappointed. Thanks.

GMA Steals and Deals
I purchased a product May 25, 2019 from Dermashii through GMA Deal and Steals. They charged my credit card $90 but never sent me the product. I tried to call them, but they do not answer the telephone. I emailed them multiple times but they never replied. I complained to GMA through their “help” email, which they say on their website that they answer emails within one hour. I emailed them three times and they have never replied to me to resolve this problem. GMA needs to do a better job of vetting these companies that they are promoting so that they do not rip off the viewers. I will never buy anything again from GMA Deals and Steals, since they can’t even be bothered to respond to their viewers.

Tommie Coper weighted blanket
I purchased a weighted blanket after it appeared on GMA .The price was really good just they forgot to mention if u send it back u are responsible for the shipping. So a blanket what cost me 98$ it cost me 60$ to ship it back. So I end up paying out of pocket.Of course u call the company but they can't do anything for u that's the policy.What a rip off.I think when GMA advertise something they should tell u the small print too

Haircuts
Well this is the second time I have written in with no response.... all of the tv commanders have there hair cut and done .... must be nice to go against the rules and be put in front an center on tv , me the non essential has to not get paid to do my job which I’m a self employed hairstylist and we can’t touch anyone foe 8 weeks and counting so just wanted again to say that I won’t be watching you show anymore not just because of this but the principle of your staff being hypocrites on saying they are being like us regular folk and there not , I’m sure it more areas in work force then getting there hair done.. just wanted to let you know that the little self employed person pull their pants up same way and I don’t get that choice to work in my own tax paying business , not saying this is there fault ,just saying they are part of the problem very bad ethics on gma .

I was eager to support the smaller Black-owned businesses featured on GMA steals and Deals. One was Glamazon where I ordered an item total cost of about $21.00 shipping and taxes. They are a complete rip-off and here is why. I have yet to receive my order after four weeks. Two weeks had gone by and one day they called indicating my credit card was about to expired and the order didn’t go through and they wanted me to give them another credit card information. Well I thought it was a SCAM so I said, no way, just cancel the order. When I hung up, I researched it and found out that the charges went through my PayPal account and had already been taken out of my bank account. I called back immediately and gave them this updated information and at that time, they told me that they would send me my item. Now, several weeks later after I contacted them about the status of my order, I’m told I’m NOT getting the item because I cancelled. No refund offered because they claim they never received the money. NOT TRUE. This company doesn’t know the value of good customer service and they are a complete RIP OFF. DO not order from GLAMAZON
