never deal with them they are scams!!
I recycled my Iphone with this company and they didn't pay me. They keep ignoring me, my calls and e-mails. Stay away from this company!

Hello Totem
Offered me $112 for used iPhone. Sent it in and they sent an e-mail saying it was broken - would pay me $46. I had them send it back. I plugged it in and it worked just fine. When I complained customer service was very inconsiderate. Wonder how often they do this form of "bait and switch"? I would not do business with them again.

Same Here
Offered me $111 for my Samsung Droid Charge and sent me the packaging and everything to send them my phone and it's been over 2 months, no response to my emails, phone goes straight to voice mail, not to mention they don't even have a phone number on their site. I had to Google them to get a number and also ran across others that they have scammed. I still haven't received payment and it really does pay to research each and every new company that you deal with.

Terrible service
I sent in my blackberry bold 9650 in the beginning of June. Two weeks later they sent me an email saying that they could not offer me the original price they would buy the phone for because it was not of "good quality". Anyway, they requoted a price for my phone and seeig that the phone was junk, I accepted. I waited another two weeks for the check to arrive, but it did not. I emailed hellototem multiple times, called them and went straight to voicemail. Two weeks after that, I see that my payment had not been sent out yet. So I email them once more demanding my check or I would report them to the better business bureau. With that email, they finally replied (go figure) and told me that my payment had been sent on June 26, which was 2 weeks ago. That was obviously a lie. Thankfully, they "voided" the "lost" check and sent me another check which just came in today, after I'd been waiting for almost two months. If they have not sent you your payment yet, I suggest you demand it or you will report them. That seems to get them to listen.... Sheesh. What a terrible business. I will probably report them to the better business bureau anyway.

This company offered me a $10 rebate, but never send it t me. This is a total fraud! Avoid any business with this company!

This approaches a bait & switch scam. HelloTotem initially offered $65 for my iPhone 3G. After I failed to respond for several days, they upped their offer to $72.50, which I agreed to. Their mailer eventually arrived and I sent off my phone. In a week they emailed me and said the phone was broken (it wasn't) and offered me $11.79. I asked that the phone be returned; I eventually got the phone back, after 6 weeks. I plugged it in, and Voila--it works. They are counting on customers not demanding phones back after they give you a low-ball offer. I am also reporting them to the BBB.

I SENT YOU A BLACKBERRY RIM CURVE 8520 ORDER NUMBER D764023 YOU PROMISED A CHECK ON 8/9 /12 SO FAR NO CHECK I HAVE TRIED E-MAIL PHONE CALLS NO RESPONSE MY LAST RESORT IS TO GO TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU I MAY NOT GET MY CHECK BUT IT WILL BE KNOWN THAT THIS IS A SCAM I HOPE NO ONE ELSE WILL GO THROUGH THE HELL I WENT THROUGH.

They don't have money in their account
I received the check for my iPhone 3G after 5 weeks wait and several e-mails. I deposited and the bank sent me a note saying that the check has been returned because of insufficient fund. I got charged $12 from the bank! They can be honest saying that they have a financial trouble, at least. I should file to BBB.

Follow up my complaint
They follow through and refunded my money plus the bank fee for returned check. They they have grown too fast and some processes broke, but on the way to being fixed.
He said they are profitable.
I just want to be fair.

have not received payment
I sent them 2 phones back in July. They marked them as received on Aug. 16th long after I know they truly were received. They never responded to any of my emails or calls; not one. They sent me a re-quote on one of my phones which I accepted but still have not received payment for either phone. It has been over a month and a half. This company is a total joke. On the website it says that they send payment within 48 hrs via paypal what a joke. They also say the respond to email and phone msg within 48 hours, maybe they meant 48 days. I hope they go out of business looks like they are well on their way. Does anyone know of another number I can call to complain or get this resolved? I want my money or my phone back. Ripped Off
I sent in 2 Iphones about 2 months ago. I have sent several email to Tayler Montagna the customer service rep and the CEO Nicholas Fiorentino requesting payment. Tayler has indicated that I need to wait for 3 weeks for a replacement check to be reissued. Two separate checks two reissued checks. I have not seen either.
Seller beware keep your phone and don't waste your time.

All of the above. These are mail fraud scammers. Instead of complaining on the web, do like I and several others are doing, go to the postal inspector website and file a complaint. Then use their link to the FTC and fill out a complaint.
They do mail fraud -- plain and simple. I got the wrong quote on my paperwork, got no response to my emails, they do not have anyone answer their calls or return voicemails, opening a ticket is a joke, my phone has not been sent back as requested on the email they sent me with a ridiculous bait-and-switch "requote". Like I said.... Don't just complaint ... Let's nail these ripoff twerps ans send a few to jail after spending all their tolen money on trial lawyers and fines!!!!

Hellototem is horrible
Sent some phones into HelloTotem.com about a week ago. Two days after they had been delivered to them I received an email saying they were not sent as described even though they clearly were. I had two iPhone 4S cell phones on AT&T. I ended up calling them and demanded my two devices back. After repeating myself over ten times on the phone demanding the phones back they finally came in the mail a few days later.
As a result, I was still stuck with the same problem. I had two perfectly working iPhone's that needed new users and I still needed some extra cash. I came across American Buy Back (AmericanBuyBack.com) who also buys cell phones and electronics like HelloTotem. They paid be $240 a piece for my iPhones which was more than HelloTotem even offered me in the first place. All I had to do was select the phones on their website, print out their free shipping label, and send them. I was paid via PayPal less than 3 days later for them. In the end, HelloTotem lost a customer here but I'm glad I found American Buy Back.

I sent totem my iphone4 a month ago they were supposed to send a confirmation email and they didnt.the fed ex tracking number confirmed they got my phone.they wont answer emails or phone calls.they promised me 215$ and it looks like I am getting scammed.
