Bait and Switch

This approaches a bait & switch scam. HelloTotem initially offered $65 for my iPhone 3G. After I failed to respond for several days, they upped their offer to $72.50, which I agreed to. Their mailer eventually arrived and I sent off my phone. In a week they emailed me and said the phone was broken (it wasn't) and offered me $11.79. I asked that the phone be returned; I eventually got the phone back, after 6 weeks. I plugged it in, and Voila--it works. They are counting on customers not demanding phones back after they give you a low-ball offer. I am also reporting them to the BBB.
