off over charging Debit card
I HAD THE EXACT SAME ISSUE WITH HOLSTED JEWELERS, AS MADMANDY. HOLSTED JEWELERS SENT ME A CARD STATING THAT THEY BECAUSE OF THEIR APPRECIATION OF ME THEY OFFERED ME TO ACCEPT ONE OR TWO RINGS WITH THEIR THANKS. THESE STACKABLE GEMSTONE BAND RINGS ARE FREE AND ALL YOU PAY IS SHIPPING AND HANDLING, PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES FOR EACH RING. I CALLED AND PLACED AN ORDER TWO FREE RINGS AND HAD TO PAY FOR SHIPPING AND HANDLING WITH MY BANK DEBIT CARD. MY ACCOUNT WAS WITHDRAWN ON 1/24/12 OF $6.99 X 2. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE RINGS AS OF 2/16/12 THEREFORE I DECIDED TO TELEPHONE HOLSTED JEWELERS TO CHECK ON THE DELIVERY TIME. I WAS TOLD THAT THE RINGS WERE MAILED OUT AND SHOULD BE DELIVERED VERY SOON. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE WAS TRYING TO SELL ME MATCHING EARRINGS AND I REFUSED THE MERCHANDISE AND ENDED THE CALL. ON THE NEXT DAY WHILE CHECKING MY BANK STATEMENT ONLINE I DISCOVERED TWO WITHDRAWALS OF $56.98. I WAS DEVASTATED BECAUSE I AM ON A STRICT BUDGET AND EXPECTED BILLS TO BE PAID WITH THE BALANCE IN MY ACCOUNT. I DID NOT KNOW WHAT THESE WITHDRAWALS WERE FOR. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THE BANK AND THEY GAVE ME A TELEPHONE NUMBER FOR A COMPANY SHOWN AS HOM*EARRIN. I CALLED THIS COMPANY AND DISCOVERED IT WAS HOLSTED JEWELERY. I ASKED WHY THEY TOOK $113.96 FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT. THE REPRESENTATIVE, MYLES, SAID THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS REQUIRE THEM TO SEND YOU MORE JEWELRY ITEMS FOR YOU TO TRY OUT, AS WELL, THIS ACTION WILL HAPPEN EVERY FEW WEEKS. YOU CAN RETURN THE JEWELRY AND YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE CREDITED ONCE THEY RECEIVE THE MERCHANDISE. I BECAME EXTREMELY UPSET AND TOLD HER THAT I WANTED MY ACCOUNT CREDITED IMMEDIATELY. SHE THEN SAID THEY WILL CREDIT MY ACCOUNT AFTER I RECEIVE AND THEN RETURN THE MERCHANDISE. MYLES THEN TRIED TO SELL ME ANOTHER JEWELRY ITEM AT WHICH TIME I BECAME IRATE AND TOLD HER THAT I WILL CONTACT MY ATTORNEY BECAUSE THEY DID NOT HAVE MY APPROVAL TO WITHDRAW FUNDS FROM MY ACCOUNT AND I DEMANDED THEY CREDIT MY ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY. SHE RELENTED SAYING THAT MY ACCOUNT SHOULD SHOW THE CREDIT WITHIN 3 TO 5 BUSINESS DAYS..
I TRULY HOPE THAT I SEE A CREDIT WITHIN 5 DAYS AND NO MORE OR I WILL HAVE TO FILE A CLAIM THE GOVERNMENT AND A LAW SUIT. I AM SO DISTRAUGHT BECAUSE THEIR ILLEGAL ACTION HAS PLACED MY ACCOUNT IN THE STATE OF INSUFFICIENT FUNDS. ALL WHO HAVE ENCOUNTERED THIS ILLEGAL ACTION FROM HOLSTED JEWELRY SHOULD JOIN TOGETHER AND FILE A JOINT ACTION AGAINST THIS COMPANY ANYONE INTERESTED MAY EMAIL ME AT [email protected]. LET'S STICK TOGETHER AND SHUT DOWN THESE MONSTEROUS THIEVES.
