Commitment not met for delivery of a car

Issue in brief

Have booked HONDA CITY 2017 S MT variant PETROL M.STEEL vehicle with MANCHESTER HONDA, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu in my spouse name Mrs. Sivaranjani S on 15-Feb-2017 by paying Rs.25,000 vide their receipt no.1039 with a commitment that vehicle will be given delivery within a weeks time ie. before 22nd Feb 2017..

Out of the total Rs.9.91 Lakhs have transferred Rs.1,68,000 to MANCHESTER HONDA account and Rs.7.98 Lakhs transferred from my bank on 21st Feb. Thus full amount for the car is paid on 21st Feb 2017 itself hoping to get the delivery of the vehicle on 22nd Feb 2017 as committed.

When I spoke MANCHESTER HONDA on 21st Feb, to my surprise they have informed to me that there is some Govt approval pending for this variant and hence delivery of the vehicle will be difficult before 2nd Mar 2017.

My grievance

• Sir, why I have to wait for almost 10 days that too after paying the full amount for the delivery of the Vehicle.
• Why faults commitment given and full amount collected if delivery dates are not going to be met

With the promise MANCHESTER HONDA given have also disposed my car and finding it difficult to manage with out car that too, after paying the full money am compelled for this state of discomfort / inconvenience.

Being with HONDA family for the last 10 years I feel I have been let down by HONDA.

Am sure this would lead a bad taste / experience about HONDA forever.

Hope to get a positive response at the earliest. No response from the Honda India Customer Services after escalations.
