I must admit that in coming here to register my complaint, I was very amused by artpoet's post. He's arty, a poet, knows what women want and is more fortunate than the punters here because he's had the good fortune to spend time with lovely ladies! I don't know why Mr Wonderful found himself on a dating website in the first place but, if someone this deluded has a complaint to register it brought my minor gripe into perspective. I wonder if the lovely ladies he spends time with are those he refers to at the end of his post?

Definitely a scam. Fake female profiles, fake messages (Illicit Encounters even admit to this in the small print of their Terms & Conditions), outrageously expensive, any real women on the site have not been active for months, a total waste of money. A better bet is UndercoverLovers.com where I've met some lovely ladies, one of whom I'm currently conducting a clandestine affair with.

Total scam. Do not waste you money! Offers no more than dating sites charging a fraction of the price. Fake female profiles and messages. They should be banned! Go to Undercover Lovers instead. Much cheaper and real ladies seeking affairs.

A lot of the negative comments here strike a chord. I subscribed (male, £150) and found it a very negative experience. The vast majority of members are no longer active. The majority of messages you send ellicit no response at all. The most honest and courteous on the site are the ones who say thanks but no thanks. Of those that respond they chat for a while and then simply go quiet. They don't respond even when you know they are on line. I agree with wavy Davy. Most of the women on this site are here to get the ego boost of male attention but are not serious about meeting, and are just playing games. Some of the "ladies" are not what they claim to be, and there are some real misfits. I did arrange one meeting but had difficulty finding the location. When I phoned the lady she began to nag me! Utter waste of money. Still looking for a genuine site, but not sure such a thing exists.
