Do not Buy Glasses at JCPenney Optical
Call and find out when the manager is available and request an appointment with them to make sure they will be there at that time. It sounds like an adjustment issue with the nose pads and arms which can be easily fixed.

Prescription was not Correct
I purchased glasses from JCPenny Optical. I provided the prescription from my Doctor. My glasses came back and they were not right. I had them check the prescription and the left eye was made using the right prescription and the eye measurments were wrong. Both lenses had to be reordered. Also, copy of the prescrition was not sent with the eye glass order to the lab, which is required.
It took me three trips into town to finnally get my finished glasses. Finnally after 5 weeks I had glasses.
I ask the manager to reduce the cost of the glasses as I had to make two extra trips. It cost me a lot of extra gasoline and my time for the travel.
I would stay away from Penny Optical as it is a contract service. Their work was poor quality and the deliver time was absurd.

Billing problems
The price quoted to me was $240.00 and I asked if this was the total price and I was assured it was. I also asked if the price quoted to me included my insurance. After being told it did, I signed all the necessary papers. About a week to 10 days later, I received a bill which was $460.00. I called my insurance company and asked when they were going to pay this bill. They informed me that they had already paid their portion which was $260.00 making this total bill in excess of $460. I have contacted your firm and was told that I am to pay my portion of over $240.00 which is more than was quoted to me in the beginning.
As of this date, I am now waiting for JC Penney Optical to advise me what the final decision has been on the final bill.
Based on my experience with your optical department, I don't feel I could you recommend you to my friends and family.

Not happy
I bought a pair of eyeglasses at JC Penney Optical in Columbus, Ohio. I forgot to ask about return policy but assumed as with most places I would have at least 30 days. I had trouble with them from the very start as they were very crooked, and never were fit to my face. I went on a trip and had to find an optical store because I was having such trouble. They told me the glasses NEVER SHOULD HAVE LEFT THE STORE. The bridge was all bent and the temples were also way out of wack. I had to pay them to fix my glasses so I could wear them. I have been trying to get used to them but after almost a month, they are not comfortable on my face and I cannot see clearly out of the lenses although they are the best progressive lenses they offered. I WOULD LIKE MY MONEY BACK. I am a senior citizen and cannot afford to replace these glasses by going someplace else. And I do not want to simply exchange them. Without asking they charged me an insurance fee to replace the glasses in the first six months. Can that also be used to get my money back? Thank you for your help.

Unimaginable POOR QUALITY
My old glasses with older prescription are 8 years old and truly not a scratch on them - they however are not from JCP Optical. 1.5 years ago I took a chance and paid more than $400 for a pair of trifocals from JCP Optical because I needed a newer prescription. The whole experience was so sad right from the beginning. I am 50 + but took my mom for the re-visit just to have a witness to the needless foolishness. Disrespectful non-customer service. Confusing, pushy, & unreasonable. I am accountable for paying for the glasses and thinking it would be ok but it wasn't. I too ended up being boggled out of any kind of warranty even though I paid for one. One year later my glasses have the most scratched lenses I have ever seen with my own eyes and stilly 8 year old glasses have not one (not from JCP) I'm sad and embarrassed for the manufacturer and the lady at Brookfield, she knows, so does God!

Frustrated and unhappy
Untrained and inept staff. Did not measure me correctly. I had to make them measure both eyes (for instance) instead of just one eye. I already had my perscription from elsewhere (thank goodness). They ordered the wrong thing even after repeated attempts by me to correct what they were doing. Glasses came in bent 3 times and no one had a clue how to straighten them. They just kept saying that they looked fine and straight to them. I had to return when the manager was there and she decided I needed a new pair and that the current pair was crooked beyond help. For each of my 3 returns for supposedly different glasses, they never could straighten them. I finally took the last pair to another optical shop which immediately saw the problem and fixed it.
JC Penny Optical staff kept treating me like I was the problem. I felt the management was unfair to the employees because it did not train them or give them the tools they needed to do a good job - assuming they cared about doing a good job. I will certainly never ever return to JC Penny Optical.

DO NOT BUY JCPENNEY GLASSES
I BOUGHT MY GLASSES LAST JANUARY, I ALWAYS GET CRIZOL LENSES. I PAID FOR CRIZOL AND DEFFINENTLY DID NOT GET THEM. THESE GLASSES WERE CHEAPLY MADE AND THE LENSES WERE TERRIBLE !!!!. THEY WERE EASILY SCRATCHED BY USING A PAPER TOWEL!! CRIZOL LENSES WOULD NOT DO THAT. I PAID OUT OF POCKET $500 AND WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY BILLED MY INSURANCE FOR THESE TERRIBLE GLASSES.
PLEASE DO NOT WAISTE YOUR MONEY. SPEND THE MONEY ONE A GOOD PAIR OF GLASSES WITH REAL CRIZOL LENSES FROM A REAL SPECTICAL OPTOMOTRIST AT A REAL SPECTICAL SHOP. DONT WAISTE YOUR MONEY!!

Poor Service & Poor quality
My husband and I purchased glasses there the exam lasted under 10 mins. ! when the glasses came in it was on a Friday I was out of town and my husdand went in tried on his glasses , they seamed okay and he ask if he had a problem would they fix them , the manager stated yes. They allowed my husband to pick up my 2 pair of glasses as well, what I was not even ther to try them on. We go back in the following Monday. My husband wanted to return his pair for a refund he was so dissatisfied. they said no that was not polssible it had been over 24 hours. Really 24 hours to try a pair of glasses !! No one ever stated that to us at all and I was not even there when he picked mine up.
No happy with them at all we spent almost $1,000 and they could have cared less , they said we could have them changed but there would be an added charge
