No help!
Do not use the services of Jeff Hahn. We asked him to take a look at the boat we wanted. He came, took pictures and took off asap. After we paid for the boat, we have found out that it had major damages. We would never have bought it if we knew about the damages. Jeff did not help us at all! We had to pay him, and also pay to fix the damages. We were so screwed.

Hahn fails to report damage on Survey
We used Jeff Hahn to survey our prospective purchase.We were buying from overseas so trusted him to give an accurate unbiased report.He failed to write in the report that the hull had major paint damage that was poorly repaired and being Blue this showed up easily.It has required us to repaint the whole hull at considerable expense. He failed to report that the gearboxes were different colours so obviously these were not original, we have on delivery had to repair as one unit, had broken clutch plates.This meant hauling an engine and fixing at considerable expense. Also to note the oil tests were paid to be done by an independent oil lab, Hahn however does this himself so do not believe that these are accurate.
I would certainly never use him again. Many of his claimed agencies are made up entities that he fronts GAMS does not exist and is a word play on SAMS Hahn and Wallace are the only 2 members.
Dig deeper into Hahn and you will find many inconsistencies.
As the saying goes buyer beware and in the case of Jeff Hahn this is true.

Jeff Hahn cost me the sale of a Boat and
My boat broker recommend Jeff Hahn to a perspective buyer. This is a long story that cost me lots of money. the bottom line is Hahn blew the survey reported hull delamination and the buyer walked. So I hired yacht maintenance company who hired another independent surveyor to do an extensive survey of the hull. The hull is perfectly sound.

You will be sorry!
My boat was surveyed by Jeff Hahn, Florida Boat & Yacht Surveyors - Jensen Beach, FL. I hired Mr. Hahn to perform a hull survey of the boat I wanted to buy because I had no prior experience or knowledge of Yachts, and I needed a professional survey to assess the condition of the boat. I got a very nice PDF explanation of all the systems on the boat complete with a nice photo record of everything. Mr. Hahn failed me catastrophically.
I had to replace every seacock and thru hull fitting, rebuild every strainer, the hot water tank had rusted through and leaked on both transformers destroying them both, a life-threatening condition, consequently no galvanic protection existed which corroded everything in the bilge, and I had to replace all of that, I had to replace every hose and clamp in the entire bilge, The A/C units were not plumbed correctly and condensation ruined many electrical components, the helm gear box was not operable and I had to replace it and the hydraulic cylinder at the rudder box, the rudder packing was leaking so badly that I had to haul it out to replace it before the boat sank, I had to replace the dripless shaft seals, all the septic hoses were cracking and causing odor and sanitation problems. The total cost for all this work came to $54,000. I'm still fixing many things that he failed to mention in his so called survey. I have many photos, but I will not post them here.
