Puppy Mill

We bought our first Sammy from Theresa 15 years ago. He was an amazing, mellow fellow, with an excellent temperament. He passed away of cancer a few years ago. We decided to get another Samoyed and contacted Theresa. We arrived for our appointment and she reacted as if she had no idea we where coming. We asked if we could see he male puppies. At the time another couple was there looking at females puppies, all clean and well groomed. The puppies we saw were filthy with dirt and feces. Teresa apologized and said she would have had the clean if she knew we were coming. No puppies should be this filthy regardless of buyers coming or not. As she took them back to get clean, we looked through the doors of the waiting room. When I bought our last Sammy the entire facility was open and the entire operation was on display. Now buyers are pushed into a small areas and all operations are sealed off. What I saw behind the closed doors were cages of adult dogs, 3 dogs to each 42 inch kennel. No room to lie down. The puppies are stacked 3 high to 6 or 8 across with two to three puppies per 24 inch kennel. All filthy. This a pull mill! I have contacted the local authorities, reported the conditions to our vet, she looked at the complaints online and the also determined this was a puppy mill. If you cannot go to her facility to purchase your dog, if she refuses to show you the mother and father, if she seals you off from viewing the dogs.. do not buy from her. Keep in mind she sells a variety of animals including ferrets. All in the same conditions. I am still working to get authorities involved, thus far Will County and Joliet/Lockport authorities are turning a blind eye.
