Forced Loans with out Contractual Contract
Yes I agree and yet they have gone on to rape many more single mother, unsuspecting teens and people looking for growth we should sue them! It's just not having a army to do so is what stops many like me the fear of losing and making more debt with court cost.

Scam charges!
I am a former student of Kaplan University. My issue with them is during my last an final semester I received an Academic Probation Notification from the Registrar. Unfortunately during that time, I had Major Issues going on in my household, My boyfriend was diagnosed as a type 3 diabetic and my mother type 2, I was running a business at home and attempting to keep up with my classes. After my classes were completed I received an email stating "This letter is to inform you that you have been dismissed from Kaplan University due to lack of academic progress in your chosen program, as published in the Academic Standards section of the Kaplan University Catalog. You may appeal the dismissal designation if you believe you experienced extenuating circumstances that caused you to fall below academic standards. All dismissed students are suspended for a minimum of one grading period before re-entry, conditional on approval by the University. " I submitted the appeal and explained what was going on, for all the good it did, because the response was 'Unfortunately, after a review of your documentation, the Dean has denied your appeal to re-enter Kaplan University. We wish you the best of luck in your future academic endeavors ' I was shocked, so I inquired what were my options because my GPA was low I asked if I could take an additional class to bring up my average, I got the response that the Deans Decision was binding. I was given no other options outside of "We got our money and your time, thank you and next." Is it worth it to take it to my lawyer or should I just pay to get my transcripts and re-apply to another college?

Forced Loans with out Contractual Contract
I am in this situation now and want to know how did it turn out? I am so angry at the situation that I am placed. I have 24 credits left befor graduation and I am being pressed to get another student choice loan. I already had one and is being asked for a payment of 800 dollars a month until the loan is paid. My response was that I could not pay that amount and will not be signing a promissory agreement. I will be blocked from classes because I will not sign it. I do not know what else to do or where else to go. I am also unsure of the stipulations on this loan. No one has yet answered my questions on repayment options and stipulation. I am so angry and confused…

accusing
I have done nothing wrong, but they are treating me disrespectfully and I have no idea why. They accuse me of using rude language. That is not true! I am a good person!

Unfair Dismissal
During my last term at Kaplan University I was diagnosed with Major depression disorder, PTSD and Panic Disorder. This developed after the brutal murder of my brother and the suicide of my mother that followed. Needless to say I was unable to attend and complete my last term due to these mental health issues. Unfortunately, as a result I was dismissed from the University. After about 6 weeks of intense treatment I slowly began to try and get my life back on track. The first step was to get back in school. However, I was told that I had to file an appeal form and that the Dean would determine if I would be allowed to re-enter my program and continue my education at Kaplan. So I filled out the appeal form and gave a detailed account of what had occurred and offered to submit medical records to show proof of my diagnoses and treatment. Along with this, I was told to also included an education plan that I put in place to prevent this situation from occurring in the future. I did so, and as you can guess, my appeal was denied. Reason being: Because I had failed classes in the past. Keep in mind that any and every class that I had failed in the past, I retook and passed. So the Dean denied me re-entry because of previous classes that I had failed, retook and passed. Classes that had nothing to do with the reason why I was dismissed from the school to begin with. Classes that were no longer considered as "failed" because I retook them passed them and received full credit for them. I am confused as to why I was able to stay enrolled with no problem while those failed/passed classes were on my record. And yet then be denied re-entry for those same failed/passed classes being on my record. My dismissal from the University was due to me not logging into the online classroom for more than 3 weeks. (Thanks to dealing with mental health issues) So get this straight. I was dismissed from Kaplan for being absent for an extended amount of time, then told to submit an appeal form and address in that form the reasons for that period of absence and how I plan to keep it from occurring in again the future. And then after doing what I was told. I end up getting denied re-entry for something that has nothing to do with why I was dismissed too begin with! It seems to me that Kaplan just looks for any reason to say f*** you have a nice day.
