Lost Funds

Having had many phone calls after visiting the Place in the Sun exhibition at the NEC from KBS. Finally gave in and took them up on their offer of an inspection visit to Portugal with the sole purpose of looking for.a property to purchase with my parents inheritance. We were serious buyers but once we got there felt really under pressure from their sales team, in particular Alex to comitt to buying something on the spot.
Like other people we were pushed into dealing with Solicitors that they introduced to us and parting a large holding deposit of 6000 euros. when we returned home we were then asked by the Solicitors to send a further 58,000 euros which they then forwarded to the vendors we then found out that the people we were told we're the vendors weren't and the company that now had our money didn't own the property and have now gone into liquidation...thank goodness we didn't give them the whole amount. We are now in the process of taking legal action, but we do feel that KBS and the solicitos may well be working together and possibly the other company too.....to anyone out there who is thinking of dealing with KBS please don't they are not to be trusted. There are honest decent property companies in the Algarve but KBS are NOT one of them, having done lot of research and asking around the Algarve we have not heard anything good about them.
