Horrible Service
I didn’t want to have to leave this review but my emails and calls have been ignored so I’m compelled to warn others of my experience at Leon’s in Coquitlam BC.
I was shopping for a dishwasher and received great service in store. Billy the sales rep and the manager (don’t recall his name) were super helpful in explaining all our options and products. We decided on a Maytag dishwasher that was within our budget, and we were thrilled to hear there was a “No Tax Sale” happening as well. We purchased the dishwasher on Sunday October 6th, and were informed by Billy that the delivery trucks arrive on Mondays, and that we could pick up our dishwasher on Tuesday.
This is where my great experience turned very negative.
We received a phone call on Monday evening saying that our dishwasher was delivered and ready for pickup on Tuesday, as promised. We disconnected our WORKING dishwasher and disposed of it at the dump on our way to Leon’s. Upon arriving at Leon’s, we were informed that our pre ordered and pre paid dishwasher was given to someone else who had an emergency return of the same dishwasher. We later found out this was untrue, as our dishwasher was never delivered to Leon’s. We were told that our dishwasher would be on the next delivery truck the following Monday. Since we already got rid of our dishwasher, we were without one while waiting for the negligent Leon’s team to contact us. We received another message on Thursday October 10th stating once again, our dishwasher was delivered and available for pickup. We called to confirm pickup for Saturday, and this is when we were informed that there was no dishwasher under our name at this location, there was no extra truck delivery made, and we were misinformed from the start, as the cutoff date for Monday’s deliveries is Saturday, not Sunday. In addition, there would be no delivery on Monday as it is the Thanksgiving holiday and we would be without a dishwasher for ANOTHER week.
At this point we started shopping elsewhere, and we were lucky enough to find another retailer who offered to price match (including the no tax sale) due to our circumstances. Not only this, but we also qualified for a $100 rebate from Maytag that nobody mentioned at Leon’s.
On Saturday October 12th, I called Leon’s to cancel my order. I was told I would receive a full refund on my credit card within 1-3 business days, and that no further action was required by us, which also proved to be untrue. On Sunday October 13th, I received a call from Leon’s stating they need all my credit card information to process the refund.
We were so happy with our experience in store at Leon’s, that we even planned on coming back to buy a couch the following weekend, and had already started referring people to your location due to the great sales team and management. However, with the way we’ve been strung along, misled and misinformed, and due to the negligence of your team members and lack of training practices and standards, we will not be returning as customers, and will not be referring anyone to Leon’s.
