Whatever you do DO NOT buy LG!
We purchased LG fo the kitchen two years ago from Home Depot. The readout on the oven malfunctioned within six months so that one number is illegible and the dishwasher stopped cleaning dishes well within the same six months and started throwing codes on their cryptic display. The fridge has given us no problems as of yet and the microwave is still working ok.

Whatever you do DO NOT buy LG!
I totally agree with everyone. We bought our range a year and a half ago and now theirs a problem with the heating element, sometimes its too cool sometimes its too hot. LG is using 1960s technology. Not only that but the enamel on the inside of the oven is cracking and coming off, probably due to the fact of how hot the oven gets. So we have spent our money on GARBAGE! lg REFUSES TO HELP US OUT IN ANY WAY. I WILL DO ALL I CAN TO BLAST TO EVERYONE NOT TO BUY THERE PIECE OF JUNK PRODUCT!

Be aware of LG appliance warranty
I made the mistake of buying all my appliances from LG. The refrigerator's digital panel gradually failed and I cannot a thing on it. The cooking range has one defective nob that continues to fall of. The dish washer makes a noise that is so sharp that you have to drown it by increasing the TV volume ( fortunately the TV is not LG). I called the customer service department and a very cold representative told me- it is their policy to charge because "technically" I am out of warranty. None of my kitchen appliance works properly. I wish I had one non- Lg appliance. I do have a toaster that not LG. Thank goodness

LG Washer
If I had the time to stay in the Best Buy appliance section all day, I would warn anyone who was looking at an LG washer NOT TO BUY IT! The machine is tempermental, requires too much "hand holding", wastes water, and I rue the day I picked it instead of a Maytag or GE product. It is so NOT WORTH it's expensive price tag.

LG Range and Microwave
I made the mistake of purchasing a Deluxe LG Range and Microwave after viewing the floor model at Howards. I noticed the operating display was black and was informed that it will light up when the appliance is plugged in.
Boy was that wrong! I cannot read the display and therefore cannot operate the appliances properly.
LG visited me 4 times as a result of my complaint, finally the last guy stated that was how the factory designed them.
NEVER BUY AN APPLIANCE UNLESS THE DISPLAY HAS A VISIBLY PAINTED DISPLAY and never buy LG anything.
I cannot believe LG designed an appliance with a non legible operating display and we buy it!!
