Product can't pass customs

Do not buy from them
Umm, I just sent in my order today. Now, what I have seen so far tells me no one has any common sense. How high quality/well made do you expect your items to be if you are paying $5.00 for a dress or $50 for a digital camera? I ordered only clothes, never even CONSIDERED getting any electronics. Yeah, you want a beautiful full-princess wedding gown with a 40-foot train- and it only cost $300? Hope you noticed the notation that they are all 100% polyester. And they have every right to be. ITS A THIRD THE COST OF A GENERIC CRAP DAVID'S BRIDAL GOWN! Also, a woman posted she ordered her gown for a May wedding in April. That doesn't give time for alterations or if they send her the wrong dress. It has to come from the OTHER SIDE OF THE PLANET. How is it the company's fault this person doesn't understand internet purchases, or have any forethought other than "Oh my God!! These dresses are soo cheap!" That's the operative word here, cheap. It's not "a Deal" or "a Bargain" or "cost-effective" or "inexpensive" Its CHEAP.
Everyone goes in drooling over the low prices, but I was taught that you get what you pay for. I personally don't mind cheap clothing because with the rate things go out of style, it doesn't make sense to spend tons of money on cute trendy clothes. Buy trends cheap, but for staples that last, spend the extra dough.

Scam
I think this is either a bad customer or a company trying to dicredit a good company. I dont work for lightinthebox nor do i gain any benifit from this post other than dispelling the false claim. They are not a scam, .. in fact they are highly reputable. I live in vancouver canada qnd i have purchased several items ..some expensive and never been trated poorly nor been un happy with anything i recieved. Their products actualy make me mad.l mad at the fact that i can buy such good quality items when local stores charge so much.. listen its simple.. its like magicjack.. how come mj is $1.60/month when your phone company or cable company charges $50/month.. now you understand why the bad press. Their scared..
Lightinthebox is a good company with great stuff at fantastic prices. I tryly trust them.
Fyi.. i bought speakers a car deck and a bunch of other stuff.. im going to continue to buy from them.. your loss if you belive the lie that they are a scam

Question: Do you all provide dresses for divorces too as well? Its a shame though that you all are totally incomplete in all the options you could offer to someone. It would not have hurt to put this additional information that one of your representatives has now posted.

Avoid them at all costs!
Never order from them. Some of the items I received were of a really poor quality. I also had to pay import charges which doubled the price of the items. I was never informed I will have to do this! Avoid them at all costs!

They are liars and scammers!
I bought a tablet from them. They stated that it has cameras in front and in the back but it wasn't truth as the tablet had a camera in the front only. They said the return would cost me $25! They also "forgot" to mention that there's a $30 restocking fee! They are liars and scammers!

Bunch of criminals
We ordered an android tablet from these crooks and they charged 41 euros extra in custom taxes. They never mentioned this on the site and I even contacted them to check it out. The good news is that these idiots will obviously not be in business for long with scams like this and I'm sure I won't be the last person to post against these criminals.

didn't ship my order
Light in the box is fraudulent website, buyer, beware and avoid at all costs! I purchased a promo dress from them and I never received what I purchased. they simply charged my card but didn't ship my order. I tried to contact them many times but it seems that their support service doesn't exist at all! Buyer, beware and stay away from them!

As you can see I didn't get their message via "ticket" until the 18th of March, well by then the refund should have already been on its way to my account.. Being that they said they would refund me in full if they didn't hear back within 10 days.. But I replied, below is copy of my reply..

As you can see they responded by saying they will cancel my order in credit my full refund ASAP..
As of date I have not received any refund! I tried to contact them again via "ticket", well light in the box closed that option! There is no phone number to reach them, so I turned to "live chat", and the rep said he would send my information to the proper place, and that I will hear back from them in 24 hrs... It's past 24 hrs and I still haven't heard anything..

Excellent Service
I have never had such fantastic service from a company in my life. I can not understand how anyone is complaining about Light in the Box. The quality of each dress I received was amazing. The customer service was outstanding.
I would like to explain why. My first dealing was because I inquired about free shipping on my order. I did not qualify because it was on bridesmaid dresses only so I ordered anyways. The custom duties are high in Canada and the free shipping would have helped. 2 days later I was on the site and the free shipping was on all products. I was upset and sent an e-mail (or ticket) to customer services telling them how I felt about this after talking to someone on their chat line 2 days before. I received an immediate response telling me they would pay ½ of the customs charge because of my inconvenience
Next experience on the same order, my dress did not ship on the day they said it would, when I contacted them asking when my dress would be shipped they said within 5 days. The gave me 30% off the dress for not shipping on the exact date. The dresses arrived 4 days later (earlier then what the said)
Next experience on the same order, I ordered a chiffon wrap to match one of the dresses. The wrap did not match the dress, it was a different fabric. I did not contact customer service; I simply wrote a review stating to be careful when mixing fabrics for color matching. Customer service contacted ME and asked that I take a picture of the 2 products. With in a day they got back to me stating the dress color was not right and offered me to return it. I told them I was keeping the dress because I loved it. Well with in another day they wrote back and said they would refund the cost of the wrap and to keep it!
All returns came through on my credit card in less than 10 days. Light in the Box is amazing. I have never had such a wonderful experience dealing with a company and I was in Retail sales for over 25 years.
Thank you Light in the Box for such a pleasant transaction. You would get 6* if I could manage it!

SCAM SCAM SCAM
They took my payment 11 days ago and have messaged me on their website (not sent me an email) so say they need to verify my payment by sending them a photo of my passport and debit card....
They have already taken the payment, it has left my account, why do they need to verify it NOW?
They have said that if they do not receive a photo of my passport and debit card, they will refund my money on the 10th day... We are on day 11 and I have not had a refund or had confirmation on this.
I have read that they will tell you they will refund your money but never actually refund a penny!
I can not believe they have my money and will not send me what I ordered!
I believe the good reviews for this website are all FALSE and part of the SCAM.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY

Never buy from Light in the box
I bought a car for a birthday present for £37.71 from Light in the box. Shipping costs were £14.20. Paid £51.91.
When due for delivery got a text telling me I had to pay £18 customs duty. (Almost 50% of the article price!) No mention was made of this when purchasing and item country of origin not mentioned either.
I said I would like my money refunded as I could buy a much better gift for £69.91. (Almost twice the amount of the original gift price).
I was informed that I could only be refunded $US25.74 ( about £20) because I would have to pay for double shipping and a handling fee. . Considering I have already paid almost £60 I think this is outrageous. (Plus the fact I might never receive it).
I have now bought another present from a local shop. A very expensive lesson. I will obviously not be using Light in the box again. A highly dubious way of operating a business. I feel as though I have been conned.

Wish had read this first SCAMERS
After taking my order had the nerve to send my email asking what I thought of there site. I mentioned I would let them know after I receive my order if OK will place many orders 4 days later they took the money out of my account and gave me confirmation # 10299477 said parcel will arrive no latter that Feb. 10/2017 3 days latter I checked the status 9f shipping and there was no order on my account there costumer service is a loop that keeps coming back to empty account.. I am said to say but I will never order on line again this leaves a bad taste in my mouth. PS if anyone in Lightinabox reads this man up and make this right for the good of man kind.

My apologies to wish had read first
I would like to update and apoagize to light in a box as I just received my parcel and everything was in good shape and good quality. I would recommend them but don't be in to much of a rush like I was. However at one point I could not reach them and thought my order had disappeared. After couple weeks got confirmation my order was shipped had it in 4 days did have to pay duty and tax but over price was still good.
