FRAUD
Have you verified that the check from the insurance was cashed? You only say one was sent, not that it was cashed. If they did not get the check then you need to get back in touch with your insurance. Also, insurance companies will only pay out the amount of value on the home, not the entire payoff. Any amount over for interests or late charges are your responsibility.

Loan Modification and Foreclosure
We've tried for over a year to get our loan modified, We continue to get letters from you asking for information, because the processing department let's the information sit too long. We were foreclosed on in December and received the sale notice on Friday April 06, 2012. We hired a company to help us with the modification in November 2011, since our attempts were being ignored. Please help, we've done all that we can do. Doesn't seem like the modification company is getting any help, MGC and the Loan modification company contacted us asking for all the information again because MGC allowed the paperwork to sit (again). We've paid the modification company a lot of money and continue to pay them each month. This money could have gone on our mortgage.

Loan Modification with MGC
We have been trying to receive a loan modification from MGC since Nov. 2011. We paid a Loan Modification company All State Modification to help us. Their rep did not help us. He said he contacted MGC and sent paperwork, MGC said they never received info. We have not heard from All State so we decided to do this on our own. MGC has had our paperwork and documents and resubmitted documents for a very long time. We are had a conference call with our attorney and theirs and on that call they said they only needed 1 more document and they had a complete package. I emailed that document 3 days later when I received it and they absolutely nothing else was needed. That was around April 13. It was in review for completeness up until last week which was May 31.They already had a complete package to make a decision on April 13. On that call they said that they want and should have a decision before our 90 day foreclosure date of June 4. We still have no answer. It went into review for a decision on Thursday May 31. I talked to someone in their foreclosure department and he said they whip these decisions out fast. Why is my loan taking so long? In my loan modification documents they sent me in it was a application for a HELP LOAN, the Making Home Affordable Program and an Dodd-Frank Certification to sign. We filled it out and sent it in with MGC's application. We talked to Housing Counselors who told us about the program and said if they are sending it to you to fill out then they accept the program. They wouldn't send it to you if they didn't. We were told by several Housing Counselors that that program - Making Home Affordable was created exactly for homeowners like us. On that conference call they told us that they absolutely do not participate in it. When my attorney asked "Then why did they receive IT and was made to fill it out?" they responded that by law they have to send it. We do not want to give up our home. Where do we go from here. I feel they have made us wait and are stalling on purpose even though I have given everything they have asked for the day of. If lenders do not accept these loan modification programs where do those homeowners turn to for help?
