Escrow

Nation-star opened an escrow on our house 4 years ago without even sending any papers. We received a notice that our house was in foreclosure due to non payment. I called and asked how come and they notified me that We were not making our full payment. Our house payments went up $50.00 a month for 4 years without knowing it and had to borrow money from friends to get our house out of foreclosure. Plus not only es crowing our taxes, they escrow hazard insurance on our house, when we have full coverage on our house. I have been dealing with Nation-star for 4 years. The same stuff over and over again. We now owe more than our house is worth, and now we can't hardly afford the payments. We live on disability and we tried to do their modification and said we didn't qualify and all kinds of non sense. Plus I've sent them their signed papers not to open escrows and they still do it.. I wish their was someone out there to help us. Lawyers charge 180.00 an hr. We can't afford that...

PRACTICE

EXACTLY. I found this out recently after 2 years that they are a collection agency, nothing more than a servicer! I am underwater on my house so I refuse to pay them. I will be a renter in the long run.

Escrow Account

The same thing has just happened to me. I re-fied back in 2010, the first two payments were normal, then the payments dropped and I thought it was a re-analysis or something, I just pay the monthly statement I get. I recently opened up the new annual disclosure and my escrow is over $2000 short!!! My jaw about dropped, seems NationStar forgot to add the MIP into the statements after the first two re-fi payments, so now they are charging me over $200 a month on top of the mortgage payment for the next year! This is crazy! The interesting thing is the MIP is an assurance to the mortgage company in case you don't pay your mortgage. I have never been late or missed a payment, so I still owe them back pay for assurance that was met? And of course, I could get nowhere in finding where the problem had arised when talking to their escrow department. My broker and I had to find out where NationStar made the mistake!

Terrible everything

I went to the same high school (Bunnell) and college (UConn) as Tony Barone. He has probably made millions working in the mortgage business, but ethically speaking, it sounds like he's a bigtime scumbag. This is what happens with the lack of regulation in the banking industry. He's lucky that he is not in jail, but then again corporate criminals are able to get away with it most of the time.

Mortgage Thiefs

This same thing is happening to me now. I've been through twice in six months. I have an automatic payment go out every month. They have "lost" at least two payments and every payment they have credited me for has been in an odd (lower) amount. They have now begun to deduct odd amounts and are saying I'm behind, when my verified bank statements prove that I've been on time every month. Does anyone know how I can get throught to these crooks?

Harassment

I just sent them a letter directing no further contact under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act for the same thing. Harassing calls claiming the mortgage is past due when, as you say, it is not. No human being at the number they leave; just press 4; press 2 hell.Costs them nothing to robo-call everybody and harass them into submission.

Is there ANYONE who can help me

First they told me not to make a payment but to apply for loan modification...I sent the docs in and got a letter 12/16/2012 (which I have a copy, I keep EVERYTHING) saying they received my papers and w/in the next 10 to 20 days while being reveiwed my home cannot be foreclosed on even if process already started....well they sold my home 12/20/2012...so they rescinded foreclosure but now I can't get them to put the deed back in my name....when you look up my tax appraisal it still says I'm the previous owner of my home...there are also numerous mistakes on my escrow for ex: charging me $370 a month on escrow for a flood policy...well my flood insurance is ONLY $370 a year...I can't get them to fix it so it is making it seem like I'm not paying ALL of my monthly mortgage....I am so frustrated with these people!!!!!!

nationstar mortgage co.

i am being exvicted from my home. i begged bank of america, for a loan modication in dec, they sold me out to nationstar, then i was told by the loan officer that i should hold off payment until, they decided on a possible payment amount, in the mean time, i was requested to send in copies of everything from four year back tax records to bank state statements, electric and gas bills, even what my cat ate each month, they even ask me how often i went out and how much it cost me. well, at 75 i really am not a going out person. they sold my home in july without any written notice to me, they claim they sent certified letter, i never received or signed papers to receive a letter i invested my life savings in my home, i have begged for help everyone and no one will stop this madness. it has already put me in the hospital one time. and i can not really say how many doctor visits i have had to make.i have letters and emails from them making it quite clear they are faurds. i have no place or anyone to go, in fact one gov.. dept., told me to contact a homeless shelter in my area.. i wonder why we elect people if they are going to look out for our interests.

Mob activity

I am also with Nationstar Mortgage and I also filed a complaint against this disgusting company, I love to bring this company down. I am currently working with the commerce department and the attorney general, as of right now Nationstar is being audit and they will pay a fine. I believe this is mob activity they buy these companies that are going out business and they buy your loan and get every bit of money and your home and hard working people like us catch these crooks they go into bankrupt and these crooks take our money and home and what ever money they take from us they go and smoke a cigar and laugh about how they got our money and our home, and they go back and start it all over again. So count me in to bring them down.
