Fraud charges
I just had my netSpend account accessed via a mystery debit card in Singapore. From what I'm reading, I'm guessing that I'll never see the $510 that was stolen. Then when you report it, they tell you it will be ten days before you get confirmation, good or bad, from them. When I first reported this there were pending transactions from Swiss Clear Global on the account. The customer service rep said that they had to let them post or "clear" before they could start the investigation process. What is that...you want to let them HAVE my money and THEN you'll persue an investigation?!?!? From other letters / complaints I've read, my assumption is that they will do nothing and I will be out the money. I've actually had the account for 2+ years and this is the first issue I've had. But, it does not instill a lot of confidence when they really don't seem to care and can't find the time to update you when changes happen in the investigation. Be VERY CAUTIOUS!

unauthorized transfer
This just happened to me tonight. It was all the money I have in the world right now and my gas tank is empty. I have to wait until the morning to call them. I spoke with an agent earlier because I could not get into my account. I transferred everything to my savings so it couldn't be used and was going to withdraw everything tomorrow, however an hour later everything was gone and transferred user to user to a James Coleman who I've never even heard of. I can't get into my account again either because my user name/password/email has been changed. I have that same problem...direct TV made an unauthorized debit into my account
And took 447.00 out...got ready to pay my light bill because it was due that day and up being declined so I called netspend to check my transactions and direct TV took all my money so guess what my lights got turned off and netspend act like they don't care and to top that off I couldn't pay my child support cause that happened. Its been 2 months and still nothing has happened from netspend.

Someone form this website have used my personal information and stolen my SSC! Stay away from them, they are thieves!

a run around, I want my money back
I bought Netspend card and couldn't use it. I called the CS and they said I have to go to the place I bought it in, when I got there I was refused the refund, so I called them again and now they need me to send them my SSN and other info. This is just a run around, I want my money back

fraudulent company, no customer support service
I purchased over 70 card from them for my company and I paid about $1000 for the activation and then when I tried to use my card I found that it is not working and the same thing happened to other cards. I tried to contact their support service to fix this problem but they never helped me. AT the moment I am trying to get my money back because I don't want to waste $1000 for nothing and I want to beware another people - don't do the same mistake - avoid any business with them!

This company is just a bunch of thieves! I used their services to get information about my credit score but they never provided me services I paid for. This company is really suspicious and you'd better avoid any business with them!

avoid deals with them
netspend is just another credit card fraud! I used their services just once and after they got my details hey started to send me fraudulent bills and tried to overcharge me for no reason. beware and better avoid deals with this company!

no honor for their customers
Netspend blocked my card without any reason. I had it for three year and I was their customer for a long time and they did this o me without any sense. I tried to solve this problem but they simply ignore me and all my claims. Beware and better be careful dealing with them!

fraudulent company
this company is a pure scam! I used their services and I was overcharged and they never provided me any receipt or invoice. Tried to contact their manager but it never respond. This company seems to be suspicious and fraudulent, be careful and better stay away!

Unreliable company
Beware of this company and be careful! This is a complete scam, these people stole my money without a shame. After I complete the registration with them they didn't send me my card as promised and ignored all my complaints. They have all my private information and might use it for their own purposes. Consumer, be careful and better stay away from them!

Avoid at all costs!
I used Netspend fr my taxback and I was scammed out of money. First of all I paid them for their services which actually were not provided and the second thing is that they never send me returned taxes. I tried to contact this company many times but I was simply ignored. Beware and better stay away from them!

I ended up just standing at the check out with no money with me only on cc which I could not use. The seller called the guard and they kicked me out. The company closed my account unexpectedly and did not notify me about it.

Fraud Department/Customer Service Department
I was very skeptical about net spend however one of my tenants at the Apartment complex where I manage talked me into getting a card. This has been the worst experience of my life after using my card 3-4 times there was a block placed on the temporary card I was notified by text message that I needed to fax and or scan some documents for proof of identity so I scanned over my Drivers License, Social Security Card and my Lease. I received confirmation that the documents had been received later that day I received an e-mail stating that all the documents where ok except for my Social Security card which had my former last name on it so I called the 888 for Net Spend and spoke with a customer service representative I tried to explain that I had married many years ago, got divorced and remarried I was told that I needed a name change and or divorce papers showing the difference of the name on my social security card, anyways the next day I scanned over my D.L.,SS card a copy of my Tax Forms Showing both my Current Last name as well as my former last name, I also scanned over a copy of my tax form from the Social Security office showing the last name that is on my social security card, after all of this I did not hear from anyone from Net Spend for several days then I phoned them and talked with the worst customer service rep. whom told me that my documents was not what they needed. I really do understand that they are trying to protect people from identity theft, however it seems to me that with the documents from my tax form, social security office that would have been enough to show that I am one in the same person after all of this not only have they tied up the monies in which I loaded on the card I was informed that I had to wait for 20 business days to receive my money from Net Spend. Really!!! No Problem I don't want to shop at HEB now I'm so frustrated sometimes try to hear your potential customers out and as for the fraud department whom cant speak to the customer and or potential customer "Really" seems like you'd want to talk with them directly or is the fraud department Fraudulent? It would help also to have some American Customer Service Representatives who can understand and relate better to American customers and or potential Customers as for Me I wouldn't recommend Net Spend Cards to anyone and that's really sad

worst card company EVER
I bought a card to pay bills with.
I have purchased other cards before and had no problems.
This company made this process a complete nightmare.
They asked me for my SS Card and drivers license to be sent to then
for proof of who I was. Then they told me that the documents they asked for weren't enough.
They then asked me who my cellular phone service provider was and I asked why and this person said we just need this information.
This to me is a RED FLAG BIG TIME. I have never been asked anything like this from any card company.
Stay away from these people who knows what they will do with your private information and you may not even see your money again from what I am reading
