Lisa Barber is a liar
Beware and stay away from this breedership! These people must be in a jail! Lisa Barber sold me sick puppy which died the same day when it arrived. This person knew that puppy was sick but never noticed me about that. She promised me a refund but in two months I received nothing from them. Total robbery and animal abuse!

did nto receive the puppy
I sent a fee for a puppy. Was suppose to receive him and send the rest of the money later. I never received any pup, and never heard back from the seller. Beware of this fraud!

Lisa Barber
I was scammed by Lisa Barber - I bough a puppy from her breedership and I still haven't received it. Tried to contact this person many times but I was simply ignored. Lisa Barber is trustless, beware and better stay away!

New Zion Shilohs
Lisa Barber sold me a female shiloh to be trained as a service for a disabled vet with PTSD. The female pup was 8 months old and was suffering from giardia and was 20 pounds underweight. Her temperament was such that she was afraid of everything and subsequently could not be trained as service dog. She also has hip-dysplasia on the left side. She would not honor her word to replace the puppy so my advice is to stay away from Lisa Barber and New Zion Shilohs do not purchase a dog or a puppy from her unless you want it to be sick, starved and dying.

For Real?
I have been fighting a situation with Lisa Barber for about 6 months now. She sold me a dog that was exhibiting major problems with one of his eyes. Surgery was necessary and would cost me $3,000 or blindness in that eye would result. There was damage to the cornea when I got the dog! If I had done that, I would be putting $6,000 into a $1550 dog. I have filed with BBB and New York Attorney General. Both simply sent me a letter full of BS from Lisa Barber, putting all the blame on me. How nice to sit in your little castle and screw people over. AG says to see an attorney. Apparently they don't see a problem. Do you? Her dogs have histories of genetic heart conditions, etc. She sells her dogs full of Ghiardia and they have diarrhea for months. I had to go through 3 cycles of medication and when I rehomed the dog it finally was taken care of with more doses. If we want satisfaction people, you MUST write to the New York Attorney General expressing yourself and what has happened to you and your concerns about it.
Lisa offered me a new puppy, but I pay the shipping, again! Plus the first month or so would cost me about $1,000. I have already lost $3,000 and now she wants me to pay all of this and go through with what I went through already with possibly another sick puppy that costs me a fortune. That is her answer. No skin in the game for her apparently.

Took $400 Deposit & Didn't Return It!
I regret not searching Lisa Barber & New Zion Shilohs prior to sending in a puppy application and my $400 deposit. I spoke to her on 8/1/13 and lucky for me a litter was due on or around 8/11/13. She sounded so convincing on the phone and I thought for sure we would be traveling to pick up a puppy around mid-October. Little did I know she would have no problem cashing my check and then have basically no contact. I see she cashed me check on 8/5/13. After I didn't hear from her as August went on I started to get suspicious. My e-mails went unanswered and the phone listed on her website just rings and rings with no machine to leave a message. She finally e-mailed me back on 8/27/13. Said she was busy, no puppies were born and gave me her cell number to call the following day. Surprise! She didn't answer her cell. I did leave a message that day and several more times. More e-mails, more phone messages and a letter requesting my $400 deposit back. She received the letter on 9/5/13 and it is now the 14th of September. No money returned. If you were a legit business wouldn't you be in touch immediately with the customer if they were accusing you of no contact and of keeping their deposit?!?! I know I would be trying to be a good business owner.

No complaint
I am not complaining about Lisa Barber- quite the opposite. I have over the past twenty years gotten 3 dogs from New Zion and have no complaint. I think people that do not breed dogs are unaware of some of the issues that may arise. Dogs that are planned to be bred don't come into heat, or the bitch may not become pregnant. Perhaps only one pup is born. The key when buying a puppy through a breeder is patience. It may take a year to get your puppy. When you do finally get your puppy it will be matched to you. If you want a puppy now then going to a breeder is probably not going to work for you. If you decide to go to a pet store you don't know what you are getting. Lisa is indeed a busy person- not only does she run her kennel she is the breed warden. If it were not for Lisa and her mother Tina there would be no Shilohs.

Rebuttal To pt223
This is in rebuttal to pt223 who commented here. He/she should consider themselves fortunate that they were able to have some form of communication with Lisa. My complaint was not about a wait time for a dog so I am assuming that was for the other complaints here. I just want others to know to be very, very careful and think real hard before attempting to do business with her. She does not get in touch with you whether it is e-mails, phone messages or letters tracked. If you will notice from others complaining here that is a big issue. Other websites have reported the same thing. NO COMMUNICATION! That is the whole issue for me plain and simple. If that is the type of business you want to deal with and wonder the whole time then go ahead. Not for me. I was willing to wait for how ever long it would take to get a Shiloh Shepherd. She cashed my $400 deposit and then didn't get in touch with me despite numerous efforts on my part. The odd thing is pt223 explains how busy she is. We all have lives. I had an acquaintance e-mail Lisa regarding litters. Oddly enough Lisa had the time to reply back on 2 occasions but she couldn't reply back to me about litters? No, because she had my money and I believe she thinks because I am 5 hours away I won't come after it. Guess what? I am. Here is another thought. If you are a legit business and the BBB attempts to get in touch with you for over a month via e-mail and phone messages would you not respond? If that were me I would want to set the record straight. She won't even reply to the BBB. My paperwork has been submitted to the Attorney Generals Office. From there it will be small claims all because she couldn't give me my money back.
