It's not fair that they said that the price had dropped. Wait, that's true. Well they didn't say it was the iPad, rather than an iPad 2. Wait, they did. This is a very valid complaint. Wait, it's not.

Ok, it's your own fault you didn't buy the correct item and your fault you didn't return it in the 30 day time frame. Newegg lists items with very detailed product descriptions. I'm not sure how you think Newegg is to blame here.
If you sold something on Ebay, would you allow someone to return something over 30 days later because of buyers remorse and absorb all the shipping and processing costs? Neither would anyone else.
I do a lot of online shopping and no store would have accepted a return under the circumstances you gave. You should not do any online shopping at all if Newegg's policies upset you so much.

Open what you buy from them and make sure it works and is what you want.
Sound advice and should be standard procedure when ordering online from any website. Regardless if this was a Christmas present or not, you should have done this to begin with.

Refusing refund.
Exactly the same thing done to us. A year later this company and its customer service has really let us down. Buy from Amazon or any other website. At least they will not use word tricks to refuse your refund. Newegg sends a dead mobo and refuses to refund. Its a shame!

Horrible ethics horribly unorganized
Newegg is very unorganized...compared to Amazon at least. Sometimes they charge you 1 day before it even ships. Everytime Amazon charges me. I can be reassure it ships that same day. Why cant newegg be like that. My business mostly goes to the jungle store. Sorry newegg you keep getting left in the dust while my money flys to them.

Do not care about their customers
action speaks louder than words. I've order many times with newegg with new video game releases. You would think if the game release on a tuesday. You should get it before the weekend right? Wrong. Only once they succeeded delivering on a friday. It was a miracle to me. I can ship a small item across the US first class in 2-3 days. No saturday delivery from newegg sadly. I learn to stay far FAR away from newegg when it comes to this. Pretty soon even Zappos gonna surpass them or did they already.

I got an email they charged my "credit card" for a purchase I never made for over $2000.
Funny thing is, I don't have a credit card.

Customer Service is a Joke
Here's an update to this dilemma! So, Newegg offered to overnight my laptop on March 2nd, It is now March 5th and my laptop is sitting in a FedEx Sort facility, so I won't be getting that until tomorrow. I was told to purchase the overnight charge and I would be refunded. I do this and then check the tracking number. This shows that the item was sent 2-day, not overnight. No notification to me.
I call customer support and ask for a manager and get Anna. Anna is nice enough, but you can tell she cares only enough to keep her job. She recognizes the utter stupidity of the situation, but defends everything; she even tried to blame FedEx for the shipping error. She explains that it takes 3-5 days for a refund. When I ask why it takes so long, she replies "What do you expect? We have thousands of customers". My thinking is they must be really, really busy with all the problems they are giving customers. So, at this time, I have been given the contact information of a Mr. Chris J. Bastain, supposedly a supervisor with Newegg. I certainly will not be writing this again, so I will be sending him the link to these posts and I'll let everyone here know if there is any satisfaction to be gained or any good coming from doing business with Newegg. Remember, 13 days so far and no laptop.

When I first received the board, the BIOS chip was out of date for the CPU I ordered. I needed the S/N for AsRock support to send me a new BIOS chip. She was home at the time and got the # for me off the motherboard box, not the board itself.

I want to update my complaint. After my support ticket was closed, they sent me a link to resellerratings.com. After posting my review their, I was contacted by phone within 30 minutes, and talked to a helpful support member. She said she would honor my RMA, overnight me the new board, and give me a store credit.

I personally have never had any issues with Newegg, but there has been a significant rise in complaints about them in the last several months. I wonder if they went through some internal restructuring...

scammers! unauthorized charges
This company have charged my credit card four times even though I have no idea who they are and never authorized them to make these charges. Each charge is from $50 to $90. I went to their website and used the confirmation numbers which were in the statement - none of the orders existed. Beware!

Do not buy from this seller! This is just another junk company! I made a purchase and they offered me high quality item, but they send me just a piece of cheap Chinese junk. I will never buy from them again and will never recommend this company to anyone!

Beware of Newegg business! I purchased a laptop from them and it was late with the delivery and they send me different model, not the one I purchased. I claimed for an exchange and they said that they don't have the one I purchased at the moment and they promised me to refund the price difference but it never happened. Don't buy from them!

RMA refuse serial number mismatch
I bought a surround sound system from newegg the system did not work the sound would switch from the front speaker to the back speaker? I callled got an RMA sent the product back they said its not the unit we sold you thats weird because that us what came in the box?? It is the unit they sold me there seems to be more the one serial on the unit one on the back from the manufacture and another on the bottom. The bottom serial matches the serial on the box oddly enough new egg is saying its an entirely different serial number then the two Ive. What do they just randomly throw serial numbers on these things I would think the manufactures serial would be what you'd use the serial number they reference does not match that at all?? Regardless of all this it is the surround sound system they sold me its next to impossible to get anyone to pay attention I've sent pictures and just get the same canned response..

Beware of this company, it is a complete scam! Purchased several items from their online store and items were never shipped! Tried to claim for a refund but I was simply ignored by them. Better don't buy from them!
