Reputable organization run by a predator
While there is nothing wrong with the organization's activities or its members, the president of NNCC, Greg Reibman, has abused entire families, including children, of persons having political opinions he does not condone.
Reibman, a former employee of the Newton Tab and www.wickedlocal.com (owned by GateHouse Media), founded and is the president of an online blog, www.village14.com, which castigates and makes false accusations against anyone and everyone who has a different point of view. These are not important subjects such as possible collusion with Russia in the 2016 election, foreign policy, freedom of choice, etc. but local issues. Reibman is especially intent on attacking local residents on issues such as whether school materials should be placed online (Reibman disagrees) and whether high school classes should use materials from sources such as the PLO website without informing students of their origin or presenting countervailing material (incredibly, Reibman - who is Jewish - believes that doing so is perfectly appropriate).
Reibman was instrumental in publishing confidential, illegally obtained (as ruled on by state and federal departments of education) information about a high school student, and false and defamatory claims about her parent, because an objection to the above information was filed with the state education department. www.village14, of which Reibman is the publisher, placed the student's name, address, and her parent's name online and encouraged readers to download thee information. In addition, false claims that the parent was associated with an "incredibly racist and unfair" (Asst. U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz, quoted in the NY Times) and "anti-Muslim" (as described in other newspapers) were published under Reibman's direction.
When the distressed parent, as well as numerous others, objected to the unlawful publication, Reibman taunted her by stating that 'complaining' about the illegal publication would cause it to be spread even more widely (by Reibman, of course).
Eventually, Reibman's employers forced him to remove the material, but the damage had been done.
Anyone meeting Reibman in either a business or social situation should be advised that if you utter any opinion, no matter how mild, on an issue Reibman disagrees with, you will be subject to defamation, slander, and having your family's - including your children's - information exposed and be the target of attacks in www.village14.com and other local newspapers.
