extremely high water bill
Are you paying individually for your unit or is your bill based on the whole building usage? Some apartments split the total building's usage between tenants.

Are you in the same water district you were in before? Different water districts can charge different rates. My water bill rates in one city and county is lower than my water bill rates in another city and county.

Too High Bill/Late Billing/High Late Fee Charge
One Point Technologies is a SCAM. The change 3X's a normal water bill. I don't know if they are in some fraudulent agreement with the Apartment Complexes they service but I will never live anywhere that uses them again. Not only are their rates astronomically high, their services charges, late fees etc. are abusive. $15.00 late fees are INSANE. I didn't receive my bill from them one month and I ended up being a couple days late because I had to go online and find out when it was due, not only was I charged $15.00 but also and addition $3 to get it paid online. Ridiculous. They must be stopped.

Excessive & Abusive Late Fees
One Point Technologies is a SCAM. The change 3X's a normal water bill. I live in a small apartment, alone, and have a $60 water bill each month, as do all of my neighbors. I don't know if they are in some fraudulent agreement with the Apartment Complexes they service but I will never live anywhere that uses them again. Not only are their rates astronomically high, their services charges, late fees etc. are abusive. $15.00 late fees are INSANE. I didn't receive my bill from them one month and I ended up being a couple days late because I had to go online and find out when it was due, not only was I charged $15.00 but also and addition $3 to get it paid online. Ridiculous. They must be stopped.

What is ridiculous is that you don't know when your bills are due. Responsible adults don't rely on others to tell them what their responsibilities are and when they are due.

I have also noticed that my water bill is extremely high. My meter readings are less than what is on my bill, which means OnePoint is charging me for water I haven't even used yet. I actually had to clean my meter to see it which means that no one has read it in a looong time. Also, my meter is in my unit next to my water heater and i know for a fact that no one has entered my apartment to look at it as my husband is home all day long. I took pictures of the meter, and I have my bills. I am going to the apartment manager to let them know what is going on. When we called Onepoint the receptionist stated that a supervisor would have to call us back. Does anyone know of anyway to go after these guys if they are sending out fraudulent billing statements aren't they breaking the law?

One Point as a company are a complete bunch of scam artists, I would LOVE for their accounting dept to tell people how much money they made in 2010 and 2011 in Late fees alone. I live in a great complex in Brookhaven and the one thing keeping me from staying here in One Point, the building management companies apply no pressure to One Point, there has been no progress in implementing an automatic payment system, and out of 20 residents I have spoken to at least 10 have said they are always late with their payments!! yes we know its something that needs to be done, but One Point knows very well how inconvienient it is and these late fees they apply are over the top, they give us no grace period, their customer service SUCKS! and where is all this money from late fees going??!!??
I never recieved my bill from December and they charged me a late fee too, I spoke to their management and chewed them a new hole... they said "they are in the process of implementing an automatic payment system and their care security considerations which need to be addressed prior to this being implemented" whilst this is true, it still disgusts me that a company of this stature and size is allowed to scam its customers through such high charges.. and Im sorry but yes it is a SCAM!

A company making a profit does not mean they're scamming...

Nice transfer of responsbility. Did you ever consider moving out, or you know, buying your own place? You have choices here...

You are responsible for paying your bills on time. You are not absolved of this responsbility because of a claim that you never received a statement (whether true or not).

I got my Water/Sewer bill from One Point for the month of Febuary, or March, and I noticied on the bill that I am getting charged for Pest Control! I didn't ask for pest control. If I wanted pest control, I would have called a pest control company!

Bogus late fees/bill doubled
Our apartment complex transferred over to these scam artists at the beginning of last year. Since then my bill has doubled, they charge some bogus "service fee". You would think the "service fee" would be for the service they are providing, but no, this is an extra fee they throw on your bill every month. Last month I had a problem with my online banking and the payment was late. I get my bill and they tack on a 20 dollar late fee. Absolutely ridiculous. Avoid them at all costs.

I almost barfed today while the people that manage my property couldn't get their tongue untangled from all of their praise of this absolute wonderful, highly rated, company of excellence, award winning, company of high repute, etc., etc. bull spewed from their months. I told them that I have $60 on my bill that One Point tacks on every month from their susposed late charges. I don't pay them so they carry over to the next month. Did you know these sharks charge you a late fee even if the only thing you own is a late fee? Interest on your late fees????? It is true. Starting today I will be calling One Point every month and getting my balance and due date by phone and then paying it on line through my bank. Or what I could do is just send them a sum of money that I know will more than cover my water/sewage/waste/etc. But knowing these people they would probably just charge me a fee for keeping an ongoing credit balance to my account. I don't know how these people got such a high rating of excellence, (if that's the truth) because the way I see it they sure don't earn it. I told my apartment owners today that perhaps they should go online and read some of the reviews and ratings by their customers before they hark their excellence. And one more thing..... have you noticed that they won't give you their address, only a PO Box and not a phone number either, just a number for billing questions. Guess they don't care about customer service.... (Just send them money) Boy am I surprised.. Oh and did anyone else notice on our statements that they asked us all to reduce our water use by 10%? LOL, why? We all know that we are not charged by the amount we individually use but by the consumption of the whole complex. Sounded good thought didn't it. They are such a great award winning company. NOT!!!!
