Run away from this company!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! We bought a sofa and loveseat, upgraded leather, made by Palliser from DirectBuy in July 2014. It was delivered the end of August 2014. After about six months the seat cushion where my husband sits began to break down. It's in a dark theater room, so it was hard to see any defects in the leather, until about 10 months after we took delivery. As I was wiping down the leather, I noticed a yellowish discoloration on the top of the seat back of the loveseat, and severe discoloration on the seat cushion. The furniture is burgundy, which apparently is notorious for dye transfer. I contacted DirectBuy about 3 days before the one year anniversary of delivery, and sent them photos of the problems. They sent out a repairman to look at it and then we didn't hear anything for weeks. We called to follow up and DirectBuy informed us that the furniture was out of warranty and the repairs would be prorated. I blew my stack and said they had better go back to Palliser and make this right, as it was still 100% covered within the first year. Now Palliser has come back and they are claiming that we caused the damage! I'm not sure how we could have caused damage to a part of the loveseat that doesn't come into contact with any part of any body (the top of the seat back). Not to mention that the leather on the sofa, which also gets sat upon frequently, looks brand new. They are a crummy outfit for sure, and I wish that I had seen these reviews before I bought from them. We didn't want to buy from China and did exhaustive research on North American made furniture. Decided on Palliser because of the look and, we thought, the quality. This furniture was not CHEAP, either. I will have to bite the bullet and pay for the repairs, but as far as ever buying another Palliser product again, and we were considering purchasing 2 of the matching recliners, no way in hell. I would attach photos but the file is too large for this site.

Theater Seats Coming Apart
I purchased 4 Palliser Theater Chairs in October 2012. A couple of weeks ago one of the chairs was peeling in the middle of the back of the chair. Additionally, the seam on the back of the chair had broken apart from the chair. I purchased the chairs from Greater Southern Home Recreation in Atlanta. I called and explained what had happened and was told that these chairs were bonded leather and that I could go on the internet and see all the problems with bonded leather. He was the man who sold us the chairs. He said that the chairs generally would only last 3 years before tearing apart. He stated that they did not know this when they sold the chairs. I am retired and will now have to replace 4 chairs although only one has the problem. Based on what he was telling me I can expect the others to do the same at any time so it would not be prudent for me to replace only one. I will not make any more purchases from this store. There was no offer of financial assistance. My impression was oh well, that's really too bad. I generally don't support companies that don't stand behind their products. This is really devastating. I hope anyone who is thinking about buying Palliser furniture will read all the reviews before doing so.Use your money wisely and make your purchase elsewhere.
